does anyone remember our coaching staff calling our "Jimmy" and this followed numerous likewise shouts of "Jimmy"...."Jimmy"....."Jimmy"....from the west stand (it went on for quite a while)?
Put Hesketh on a pay as you play contract maybe but Yems did say he had a longterm hamstring injury problem.
I'm not really a fan of zero-hour contracts or their equivalents; I wouldn't employ someone that way and wouldn't want to work like that myself. Outside of football, I've always believed that a zero-hour contract employee should be able to work elsewhere too if insufficient work is available for them, but football doesn't seem to work that way.
It's a tricky situation but if someone is on a contract, there ought to be some basic pay as a minimum with more in playing bonuses. That seems only right as a contract effectively excludes someone from playing elsewhere.
