Cant help thinking that even though he has only scored one this season for them, as he was a free agent after agreeing mutual termination, he would have been the type of forward we are missing. Even if he didn't score hatful's himself he could have been used to feed our other forwards - and yes I do remember his pitiful haul here previously!

BJA is a decent striker, unfortunately he wasn't when he was with us, but has improved a lot. Would have loved to have seen him back here. We need another option up front, especially with Appiah injured at the moment. And he was available on a free.
I wonder if we are planning on signing anybody this transfer window? Watts in on loan looked a good deal, but that went wrong rather quickly, poor lad. We need some steel and fight in midfield - there must be someone out there who could do the job for us? I'm surprised we haven't shipped anybody out either. Offloading a few of the fringe players who are never gonna get a game could free up some cash for a new signing.

I really hope there is a midfielder available who can get into the box and support the strikers better as that would make a difference going forward, especially when putting crosses in. If the deal for this kid from Man United goes through tomorrow we will see if he might be an answer in the short term (and I hope he is better than the previous Man United loanee we had here)
I said a couple of months ago that Akinde could be a realistic option to bring in so am a little annoyed that we didn't try but oh well

Newcastle have loaned Freddie Woodman to Bournemouth.
Good signing for Bournemouth. I rate Freddie Woodman as a better goalkeeper than Glen Morris, mainly due to the speed in which he would start an attack with a good throw.
