We still have a club for many on here to moan about (including me often)? Just think how tedious if we had to join the massed ranks of PL sheep who never have to moan because their bloated super rich and massively staffed clubs never make a mistake. How dull would that be?
A lot more supporters will take each match game by game.Theyre pay their money and after 90 minutes decide if it was a positive decision or a waste of £20. I think the football we play at home needs to be positive. We have to get the ball forward quickly and attack at every single opportunity.Sitting back and taking the occasional risk will not be acceptable for many supporters, especialky after the dross weve seen the last 2 years. I'll pay £16 to watch us against Port Vale and if I enjoyed the match or come away feeling positive I'll be back for the next one,but if it's a bore fest I won't.

Do people really think like that? "That was a poor football match, I've just lost £xx"
It just seems a pretty black and white way of thinking. I can understand it with some things, but I think its different when it comes to football.
I pay the money to go into the stadium and watch the game. Whether we win, lose, or draw, the value of what is paid for the privilege of watching a football match is still the same.
It needs to be positive, but if we are top of the league having played 'bore fest' football, whatever the manager is doing would have worked.
Come on, if it was all neggars we wouldn't go. What is it RR&R (in terms of football) that makes you want to be at our wonderful stadium on a Saturday afternoon?
my blood is red, my heart is red and im often red faced i am...red, red and red.
Some young talented players hopefully in Sanoh and Camara along with club stalwart Bulman back, low expectations going into the season and some signs of stability.
A positive from last season is that it appears that we have more competition for places this season. I am looking forward to the new season. How about some predictions for player of the season? I predict Matt Harrold. You can rubbish me at the end of the season!
Plus points - we have a brilliant keeper. Yorwerth is a talent and if he can keep his head straight a top defender. Connolly and McNerney are good solid defenders. We will be playing two attacking wing backs with pace so that should bring some entertainment both ends of the pitch! Bulman is back! Keeping Roberts fit is crucial as always looks dangerous. Dean Cox has had a proper pre-season so fingers crossed we'll see the real Dean Cox. Camara is an unknown, could set the league alight or be completely out of depth. We will soon see.

Brave choice... I'll take an early punt on Mark Randall. Note to Admin: Player of the season predictions really deserves its own thread.
On the subject of positives... I am unlikely to be HKPs favourite chap, but he and the previous incumbents deserve full credit for ensuring that home matches are invariably played on an excellent surface, put pockets in the corners and you can have a game of footy-billiards on it.

True but I thought we were basically forced into it after that season where we were forever having games postponed at the last minute.

Well yes, it made economic sense and has likely already paid for itself, but we addressed the problem properly and I don't mind acknowledging that investment and achievement... it's sometimes too easy to take certain things for granted.
