Seems an odd one that, going down to National league, 4 months is an extremely long time for getting match fit so it looks as though he's being given the chance to find himself a new future, GC has been quoted as saying that he's looking for a young and hungry squad so I reckon it's goodbye Jimmy and thanks for your service to CTFC
It's the highest league that he could have gone to as the transfer window is now shut - needs game time and let's be honest he wouldn't have got it here now - it's also a chance for him to prove that the injury has cleared up
Cioffi is trying to build a younger team. These decisions on Morais and Smith are hard ones but they are right in terms of building for a good push over the next 2 or 3 years. We have a couple of old lads in the spine of the team in Bully and the always Player of the Season, so the balance is probably right
Good move all round Jimmy needs game time Yeovil will play some good football and have a chance of promotion. Our central midfield is more holding player or breaking up play in the current formation which I am not sure suits Jimmy game. Maybe he can get some game time and win his place back after Xmas given our squad depth it is amazing that club captain can not get a game.
Is the next to go on loan Josh Payne coming up 29 he must be one of the other oldies because the speed he moves around the pitch he certainly looks old.
It's a sign of our strength in depth that such a solid reliable player can be sent out on loan..hope he gets fully match fit and comes back next year to help with the play off push....or relegation fight if the doom merchants have their wish. .
Sad to see Jimmy go I don’t think we’ll see him in a red shirt again. I would have him in the team ahead of Camara. He did the same job but also scored goals as well. Good luck Jim.
no particularly concerned about this move, he wasn't going to get near the first team anyway and with a lack of match fitness this could be a blessing in disguise for both him and CTFC

Never rated Payne, too slow and sluggish. Ship him out.
There were more people watching Jimmy Smith, than there were at the Broadfield stadium. How do we generate more attendance, I’ve a car sticker but here in East Grinstead I’m not aware of any other publicity.
