With Hartlepool sat firmly at the bottom of the away form table and only 6 points from 14 all season, hopefully this a game we can take advantage of, not just the 3 points but get us into positive GD. They have only scored 8 goals away from home all season and with the long trip down it has a Crawley win all over it.
As regards our poor home form it may be worth noting that we've already played 7 of the current top 8 teams at home (D2 L5) but are yet to entertain 8 of the current bottom 11.
So no reason why it shouldn't pick up significantly over the rest of the season, starting Saturday.

We will find a way to concede a stupid goal as normal but just feel Nichols and Oteh will spare our blushes by bagging at the right end
The monkey hangers did get a decent win last night although I have noticed their home form is much stronger than away
I see their transfer window signing Omar Bogle scored that night. I remember him playing against us for Grimsby a few years ago and he was a real handful then, so will need watching on Saturday.

Now you mention it he was much too hot to handle on the night but think we still won. Think he peaked from a goal scoring perspective at Grimsby but has moved up and down the leagues since and will be a handful.

Crawley 3 Hartlepool 0 - rare clean sheet...
Good info .
The play offs here we come !
Oh only if it were so easy!!! We seem to do better away and against the good teams....
My pet theory about our home-away differential is that we are less good playing teams that spoil and leave little space but much better facing teams that favour a more open attacking approach, as most home teams we visit do to appease their fans. So I don’t see Saturday as being a walk in the park but hope our extra ability will count. 1-0 to us with lots of hard breathing at the end more in the stands than the pitch

Just to put the lid on a miserable afternoon, I watched the game next to the know-all clever dick who had posted this in the week...

😀 Yeah - he’s a right nause, isn’t he? 🙂 Not sure how you put up with it and insisted on sharing your boiled sweets with him as well! If there was any consolation for you, he had a long miserable drive home afterwards!
