Even we can't fail to thrash Scunny into next week; they are doomed to non-league football. It would not surprise me if we scored 10 goals but my glass is half full so I will go for a 5-0 victory.
Crawley 3 Scunthorpe 0 After 70 Mins. Crawley 3 Scunthorpe 2 Full Time.
This Squad is Good Enough to Make Top 7. I am the only 1 on this Forum who Genuinely believes that, but Yems needs to have a defining Dream before Saturday & Needs to Make 2 Key Starting Changes, If that happens we can still make Top 7. Lewis needs to calm him down in the last 20 mins of each match and ensure he concentrates on tactics needed. It can still happen!
I still remember the first time I saw Scunthorpe Play. It was against Southend United , Scunthorpe had a striker called Nigel Cassidy who was scoring goals for fun. They won 0-3 but the player who impressed me the most was a K. Keegan a young midfielder. Whatever happened to him?
The town and the club have had some tough times recently with closure of the Steelworks. They find themselves fighting for their football league lives.

I hope Crawley will be to strong for them. 2-0
I remember watching Scunthorpe around that time too, in the late 60s against Oxford United who won 2-1. Scunthorpe's team that day contained a young Ray Clemence and the future Spurs manager Keith Burkinshaw.
Think Saturday could be a goalfest so going for 4-2 to Crawley.
Am I right in thinking that legendary England Cricketer Ian "Beefy" Botham played for Scunthorpe ?
According to Wiki he played 11 games for Scunthorpe and was made the clubs president in 2017. I am sure that he would be made welcome in Redz before the match.

Yes Beefy can buy me a beer any time :-)
There used to be a good sporting quiz question:
Name 3 ex-Scunthorpe United players who played for England
see on the Argus site that Yems banned for 3 games and fined - assume he will get more for the Oldham debacle - deservedly so.
'John Yems has been suspended from the touchline for three matches and given a £2,250 fine by the Football Association (FA).' starting with Scunthorpe game so be interesting to see what happens!

My prediction is attendance 2,200 that won’t include a certain poster on here
