Can I just say I thought the referee had a quiet game on Saturday although to be fair neither team was particularly fiery and I can’t decide if the ref was good or it was an uneventful game, but I’ll give the ref the benefit of the doubt and say his performance was good.
In all seriousness Kettle is probably no better/worse than the usual.
The general standard of refereeing from the Prem down to the non-leagues is as bad as I can remember it this season. Lots of poor decisions, refs who think they need to be the centre of attention, and assistants who don't assist even when right by the incidents.

If the FA fine the ref his match fee, they could end up with a tidy profit.
Yes, I know, the ref is right even when he's wrong and we should all respect that human error sometimes occurs, but it's frustrating when the error is blatant rather than borderline.
Really petty from the FA to fine Crawley players for challenging a ridiculous refereeing call, didn't look anything over the top on Ifollow footage. On the flip side, are the ref's accountable for such blatant bad calls?!
Maybe he should start refereeing futsal or beach football instead then (as those two have much shorter time periods)
Or maybe we should just give the guy a break
Steve; normally I would agree with you but Mr Kettle is renowned as a menace. Ask on other lower league forums* and the anger at his refereeing will spill out from all comers.
