Redz Bar is still lacking in Real Ale. With quite a few Breweries based locally, why has Rohna not made any enquiries with them to brew some "Redz Ale?"
Managed the queues a little bit better yesterday and yes nice place to have a chat after a very disappointing game, where all the people I spoke to at least were being very calm and sensible, having seen it all before
Obviously bigger crowds create the following but i feel Redz is just far too small. Would also help if away fans had their own bar. A bottle bar is better than nothing but really I think we have outgrown Redz.

Steve, I was in there. If I'd of known what you look like I'd have come over and had a chat...chew the cud so to speak..
I do agree it was calm but there was a lot of gallows humour involved. There had to be really after that performance.
Every time we speak about Redz bar the same things come up. Needs to be bigger, open later, down the other end of the ground and maybe a separate bar for away fans.
It would be a shame if we didn’t have away fans in Redz - I know we go to some grounds where we are not allowed to go into or use the home fans facilities for a drink but we shouldn’t go down that route - I don’t know how you can easily or really expand Redz - but to he honest it’s only started this season that we are seeing bigger attendances we’ll just have to make the best of it. It’s a good problem to have - the club will just have to see what changes can be done to make it more efficient.
And I agree with JTG about bringing the Real Ale back - not all of us are Lager or Cider drinkers and don’t get me started on that IPA.

I'm sure they had a cask from a smaller Sussex brewery down there for a couple of matches last season?. Maybe it didn't sell. (I did my best ....)

Yes, they did. In the past we’ve had beer from Weltons in Horsham which, sadly is not operating any more I believe. We’ve also had beers from Hepworths when they were in Horsham and they have now moved to Adversane the other side of Billingshurst, but it’s not a million miles away. I should know because I call in there occasionally on my travels to stock up! :-) One of the guys there used to work up in the bar in the West Stand and I have occasionally discussed with him the possibility of them supplying us again. The problem comes if the bar isn’t used frequently and bad weather or vagaries in the fixture calendar mean there is no home game for a couple of weeks. A half consumed barrel or real ale will not taste too good after that! I do my best to help out on this but I have a long drive home after a game so have to limit my intake!
One of the bars at Wycombe’s ground (not the away bar) has a shelving trolley with 3 or 4 different barrels on. This may be a hangover from when it was also used for rugby but I always thought it was very civilised. Perhaps we just wouldn’t have the turnover to justify trying something like that.
That's a very good point about how much real ale (proper beer ) we would sell. If a barrel doesn't sell out on a matchday, there's then the issue of what to do with it if there's no home match for 2 weeks. Barrels are generally 72 pints...we'd sell that of we put it on on a Saturday wouldn't we? It's when that runs out and the next one....essentially, the issue is any barrels not completely empty.

Deffo we must do this, I'll be one of the eejits in the new shirt tomorrow hanging around outside Redz and hopefully after, more people chat in real life the less likely they are to have misunderstandings online is the golden rule as ever
