Will we be the setting for Oldham's last stand...(?)

Might be wrong but think they’ll be down before last day of season, they’ve hit a real rough patch at the wrong time

We’ll we have had a recent trend of getting mangers sacked after they play us so maybe they’ll end up getting relegated when they play us and their manager will get sacked or resign. Protests could be likely as well seem to remember they have had one or two ones earlier in the season.

There were some talks a couple of months ago about a potential takeover but haven't heard much recently though. I'd agree with a lot of the comments on here that Oldham will probably likely be already relegated by the time they play us at Boundary Park and I can imagine the atmosphere at that game being toxic, wouldn't surprise me to be honest if we see a pitch invasion similar to Blackpool in 2015. 

A common trend in recent years amongst relegated teams from L2 is that they have suffered because of mismanagement at boardroom level (think Southend and Grimsby last year, plus Macclesfield, Chesterfield, Leyton Orient and Yeovil not too long ago)

Is back room mismanagement not a trend with most relegated clubs in the football league in general, particularly in League Two given only two out of 24 teams go down so something has to go badly wrong to be relegated.

On a different note, seems unfair that four teams get relegated from League One and only two from League Two. Surely 3 each would be better and would help improve the standard in the league as teams would have to up their game in League Two!

Im very much against increasing the number of teams going down from L2. If L2 teams become part time (which I think could happen in this case because it may take longer for some to adjust) the FL is devalued. I can however see a Scots style bottom of L2 play top conference teams in a relegation v promotion play off happenning one day. Not sure I agree with it though.

It's a huge step up into L2 and I think having only 2 drop out creates more stability overall. There is no way any EFL club will support more teams being relegated from L2.

but on a Full time decline I'm suggesting, as to sustain that they need league status, crowds and associated revenue streams surely. The longer they stay PT and away from the limelight the harder surely all the above becomes. 

The way a club votes on relegation from the EFL is determined by which side of the trap door they are at the time.

I bet quite a few National League clubs wish they had voted for more relegation when they had the chance.
