Why the anger of delay? I dont need my season ticket for a few months, its not like the team wont have a manager (im totally unconvinced by Betsy by the way as he wont have the best u16's or next PL team to play the tippy tap football that got us nowhere previously probably because we havnt got the (PL) players!) and whilst I do like to forward plan if Covid taught me anything it was nothing is guaranteed, just look at ppl on board aircrafts being told their flight is cancelled! I can take in pre-season matches as and when after all its not like anything of recent seasons has had me excited I need to block the entire day out in the diary. It will all come out in the wash, much like what really happened or didnt re JY. Patience.
Think its more sorrow that we look like a bunch of amateur's. I truly hope that things improve when we get the new manager in and the other aspects are sorted but cant help feeling were going to look like mugs. Still here's hoping that I'm just a grumpy old timer who doesn't know what he's talking about and results are so good we all laud the new board and happily eat popcorn and play the American anthem as the team come out!
far from amateurs if the club appoints the right person rather than rushing matters. Best time to recruit has to be now rather than during playing season.

Interesting... so when you post of not looking amateur by "rushing matters"... ...in terms of professional competence, how would you rate:
The WAGMI UNITED Twitter feed posting... 10:02 PM · Jun 1, 2022 - "Announcement coming soon!"... followed by... 6:08 PM · Jun 2, 2022 - "Manager announcement tomorrow... Join us on a twitter spaces hosted by @hunterorrell at 11am PST."
And then… - within an hour of the appointed time.... ...just as the groupies tell us that they “can’t wait” and are excited by the prospect of "marching bands & a parade of bored apes"…

Think we have different standards Nick - Thad seems to have covered points well in his reply
MESSAGE FROM ADMIN: Thank you for a handful of personal messages I have received recently regarding the general tone of the discussions on this forum. Reasonable debate –great, it’s hopefully why we are all here. BUT “personal comments, presenting opinions as definitive facts without any evidence” (this was received as quoted) have a think please – if something is misleading then whether intentional or not I believe it’s always best to tidy the messages up. Remember all forum users can edit their own messages. Clearly John Yems was very well respected and liked and as I’ve personally added somewhere on the forum ‘we’ve had some great times, thanks John’ (or words very close to that effect), but in any references to John Yems (defending him or otherwise) please can everyone cut out the personal remarks, attacks and so on.Forms of bullying, for example, are unhelpful in open debate. Thanks for reading and I trust upon your co-operation considering all this. George
Good work from George/the admins but, as ever, it will be ignored
MESSAGE FRON ADMIN In no way does the Admin of this board suggest the owners of Crawley Town FC have acted improperly or immorally. We do not condone bullying, inappropriate behaviour on the forum and administer this forum as best we can in-between day jobs etc. Any messages that suggest, imply subtle or otherwise any such reverse of the aforementioned belong solely to the registered member of the forum.
Of course both Alex and myself read the forum and as may messages as we can, but we do not and cannot read every single one and every single link. We are most grateful for users that point out potential inappropriate or offensive remarks etc., BUT even Alex and myself disagree at times and have to reach a compromise on what is appropriate and not. We took down a public domain link to what seemed to be lists of player wages as we felt it was inappropriate to expose the players to this and in general bad taste, whilst we acknowledge arguably no intent from the originator to cause any distress.
Generally speaking anything in the pubic domain could be linked from here, but lets also remember that the Internet has a dark, disgusting and undignified side too (not that per se thankfully we've seen any references to this as far as Im aware) so there will always be exceptions and caveats that we have to negotiate.
Knowledge around the cryptic crypto stuff (pun intended!) is we believe quite new to most fans and that is represented here on the forum from what we have read. The game of football that brings us all here is also open to interpretation and everything herein too.
I invite all forum users to go back and re-read my earlier message (repeated below):
