Watching Glenn at Aldershot, I do not believe that Glenn is best suited to the style of play Kevin Betsy wants to establish. Passing it out from the back. Glenn was probably the best shot stopper in league 2 last season and will be greatly missed. He has won many points for Crawley throughout the season. Why loan him to our league 2 rivals?
While there's no doubting Glenn's abilities he always looked good because our defending was so poor and he had twice as much to do as other keepers,I do worry a bit that Betsy is a bit technical coming from a background where individual player's development was more important than league positions.

Goalkeepers are there to save shots, not contribute to attacks, that’s just a nice bonus of that can happen. Whilst Glenn’s kicking has always been average, his shot stopping has always been up there as one of the best in the league for over 5 or 6 years now. I didn’t see a big deterioration in performance from him last season, I know he’s nearly 40, but I still think he has a year or two left at this level. Could be a big mistake letting him go!
That is the unknown factor with Betsy. Will his substitutions change the course of the game?
when to make substitutions and when to vary tactics. We will have a far better idea after Saturday, but Betsy has a good coaching team alongside him.
looking forward to seeing what team is picked.
The addition of David Powderly in particular is exciting as I watched a video of him taking a coaching session whilst he worked for the FA and he did sound very very good.
As for Morris, I can see why a lot of people are upset about him going but there may be reasons we don't know about that have led to this. Hopefully Addai or whoever is brought in can do as good a job

As fans, we disagree with each other a lot of the time, but the vast majority of fans are in agreement Morris is a great keeper. Betsy obviously has all the badges etc. but realistically are we going to get anyone better in as unless the new owners have agreed to stump up some serious cash I am skeptical. Let’s hope Betsy proves us wrong.
Quite a shock this one! But good luck to Corey tomorrow, he seems decent -- albeit will have to do very well to earn the regard that Glenn has rightly earned over the years.
Personally, I felt Glenn didn’t have quite as good a season last year as previously. Whilst still a good keeper, realistically he’s unlikely to improve, so the question would be when to introduce a new keeper.
From what I’ve seen so far, Corey has made some decent reaction saves, adds a great deal of height and is more vocal.

So you think Glenn didn’t have as quite a good season as every other year yet he still won every award going! That statement sums up how much of a joke decision this was! I tend to disagree as thought last year was possibly his best.

Morris probably got fed up of shouting at his midfielders and defenders and thought best to keep quiet and focus on saving shots!

Ah camel poo. Think this is a mistake but ultimately if our keeper is going to have to be good with his feet, I guess it's better to do this now rather than mess Glenn about until January.
Whoever replaces him will need to be phenomenal to make fans think this was the correct course of action, so no pressure mate.
