Some stats those posesion and shots incredible. To early for judgement but Kewell springs to mind. Sub goal keeper at half time stiles of very eratic judgement ...
Even when Kev gets these players clicking and playing the way he wants, Carlisle away will be a hard game, Simpson knows what he’s doing. At this initial stage of the huge rebuilding project, I don’t think there will be bad experiences, even setbacks will be good learning curve material. I wouldn’t say that about an established older team with not much growth potential, but our younger lads ain’t that. Let’s see now how much the home fans can get behind them now next week, congrats to all the hardy travellers today for giving this tough one a good go

Balcombe picked up an injury it seems.
Both our two keepers had good games by all reports so that’s one positive given the understandable Morris controversy
No good if you don’t take shots at goal is it. We need to do the basics.
I was called a dinosaur and a lover of hoof ball for saying keeping the ball in your own half: possession for possessions sake was not the way to go and it is dull to watch and dangerous as a decent team will pick you off.
I am pretty sure we will improve on this. Lots of new players and a new managar finding his way. We will get better!
Oh dear, the much trumpeted Wagmi era, starts with the aussie-style tippy-tappy, possession in abundance, hardly any chances, a crocked goalkeeper and defeat. Karma?
Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office (which happens to even the best teams) and we do a lot better next week. Carlisle fans I've spoken to since that game finished were saying we were lucky to only lose 1-0
Not great hearing "1-0 down and we cant get home". An afternoon of frustration. There were moments of absolute brilliance World class where we got stuck in battled but for the possession we created so little. Counts for nothing. Ironically Utd were often better on the break and our long balls at times worked or nearly came off. Second half we upped it more attack minded, Hess immense but we could have Kane it attack if you dont feed him he has to hunt the ball himself. We did hunt it but really the simple stuff get in wide and cross it nearly came off. It was a unfortunate goal to conceed. I desperately wanted us to shoot and put balls in the box grab a second ball we can do it. Win ugly. It couldve been done. Tilley MOM by million miles. Superb. Absolutely superb. Loving his application. Another day....

you definitely need some cheering up Gruffi - maybe next week will be the day
Firstly credit to the 160 who made the long journey. Disappointing that we didn't have a shot on target but that's football.
KB needs at least 10 games to get this organised. I believe Omole, Addai, Jenks and Balagizi were all playing FL football for the first time and Adebowale for the second. That's why I see this as a consolidation year with a push at the play offs.
Finally L2 is a bloody hard league and Carlisle are a well established club. I'm sure KB wasn't expecting to turn up, pass it around a bit, talk some horse shit about NFTs and stroll off with 3 points.
