As a matter of interest. Does anyone know why Brandon Mason wasn't in the squad yesterday?
If you recall the season ticket and nft holders had a vote and we decided the club should go for a significant midfielder. Brandon was said to be that player.
I'm presuming he had an injury of some sort. Far be it for me to suggest that Wagmi have been caught selling nft's with a promise of a true vote on team policy which is not actually true.
We finished the game with Nadesan, Nichols, Telford and Appiah all on the pitch but still could not manage a shot on target.
That is the damning thing for me. When you start the game with 3 forwards and finish with 4 and you still don’t get a shot on target the way we’re playing is obviously not working and we need a tactical adjustment.
If we have got to wait for up to 10 games to get the system right and so possibly loosing all these game i wonder how many of the supporters will still be coming. If does pan out like i have mentioned will we still have the same manager.

I love how we lose the first game 1-0 and the doom mongers are already on the job.
Moan when Betsy was appointed. Moan about the warm weather training. Moan about the fan council. Moan about first day result.
Way to early for judgement but not aure 10 games in willbe acceptable before the results come.
Interesting article in the Sunday Times business section re NFTs today.
I think next week will be interesting you can get away with poor performance away but if the lack of box action / shots on goal is replicated at home things can head south quite quickly.

Light blue touch paper and retire.

Yes you could go with the elaborate conspiracy theory that seems to be in vogue at the moment or opt for boring old plausible football reasons. The BBC commentators said he was off the required levels of match fitness at the moment
Looked liked we struggled badly in transition when we lost the ball. That is definitely something a team with 8 players making their debut can work on and improve, other than that the last ditch defending wasn’t awful - few good blocks, keepers playing well. If you lose the shot count 23-6, there has to be some reason why it was only one conceded
It looked a very scrappy goal so we could easily have got a 0-0. Team selection was a bit odd as mentioned on previous posts, brand new keeper and new midfielder on the bench is risky when they surely can't know everyone. Also it appeared that Francomb played CB instead of Francillette. Powell might also find he doesn't start every game. Give it a few more games and Betsy will have a better idea of his first team; it's still work in progress. I can only assume that Brandon Mason was injured along with Lynch and it will be great to see both of them playing.
I want a conspiracy theory Steve. They're more fun!
Why let facts get in the way of a good story?
By the way, watching those highlights. It may have been a scrappy goal but there was some excellent last ditch blocks preventing the score going higher. That happens when the teams defensive shape has been pulled about. Great by the individual, players, not so great by the team.
Yes spot on Jim and perhaps it also shows the missing bit of the team building puzzle is that dominant, crafty centre midfielder - with Mason likely to play wide or in one of the advanced positions.
Yems was often forced to draft Francomb into midfield when we were on poor runs and you wonder if Betsy might be influenced down this road too. Unless the PL loan youngsters really push on quick
I know they are a subject of bafflement and wonder, but player ratings scores from the Football League Paper had Conroy and Omole as our best performers on 7 with fans favourite Tilley on 6
