Slow Tippy Tappy Today! Not Threatening going forward. No height in the box for 1st hour so why cross balls for 5 foot 7 inch players to try and get there head on it. Formation is all wrong. New players are quite good but not being used correctly. Centre Halfs not getting forward at all. Am very worried about Betsy playing them 3 centre halfs again. Nothing going forward from the back. A New Coach & New Manager and we will do ok with this team!
3 hours of football and 1 shot on target. Can someone let Kev know this is professional football and not the academy, you know goals matter, results matter. You can’t train the team to play like Barcelona with lower league players. Orient are a typical league 2 team, physical, organised, experienced. We need to do the basics like get the ball forward quickly and directly otherwise it’s too easy for teams to defend. Again it’s too slow and predictable.
manager I agree but players? Surely they have passion but today was pathetic absolutely embarressing nearly had a punch up back into town with Orient fans taking the p1ss outta us how poor we were. They were saying we are going down not up and to be honest they are right. Betsy his tippy tappy game and these yanks are the disaster I said would happen and it unfolded again today. Fans cant take this. Sort yourself out Betsy.
Don't agree about no passion and no pride. The players are being asked to play this godawful tippy tappy passing out from the back game. They are trying, but apart from Francomb they aren't very good at it.
Biggest problem with these tactics is the zero attacking threat. One shot on target after two matches. That's atrocious. Telford will be asking to go back to Newport at this rate. How can he score if nobody gets the bloody ball to him?
The fans let KB know what they think of his tactics. Let's hope he takes the hint.

Absolutely dire. There is no forward movement at all. Tilley and Nadesan and Kwesi tried their best but it was not enough. 3800+ crowd and we drop that stinker.
Much I was disappointed by the result today, I was more disappointed by the reaction to Betsy at the end. For a young guy starting out here in management, he needs better support than that.
The game was nothing special, pretty even mostly. My Orient mate was moaning about their performance at half time on text to me which sums up fan expectations quite broadly. The story was we missed what looked like a tap in for Tilley and they took a more difficult chance, albeit from our poor organisation - but was that their first corner of the game in the second half?
I’ve heard a lot about Betsy being a restricted passing play guy but there was numerous long balls by us today, few of them any good.
At this early stage, the problem looks to me Nichols and Telford look too much similar players and lacking a hold-up player up front to keep the ball there. A few other of the signings looked below par.
On the plus side, there were decent performances from Balzagi, Omole and Tilley. Something to build on if it wasn’t for the pressure being put on so early, trying to manufacture a crisis here before the season barely starts. Hmmm
Didn't Betsey say his team would be a high press attacking side,no sign of that,at this stage I'm quite happy with the new owners my only concern is they have employed a coach when in Div 2 you really need an experienced manager.
I've seen Crawley fans turn on a manager and team before but this is the first time I've seen it in the first game of the season.
Betsy seems like a decent guy but sadly he is under pressure from the fans to turn it around after two games. The next home game, in the league, is Wimbledon. Another big crowd. If we get what we had in the second half that will be the last big crowd an Betsy will be under pressure from the owners.
With the players we have we need to start Nadersan up front. I personally would change to a back four but that may have to wait until we have a fit left back.

I agree on Balgazi and Omole but not Tilley; he was way off his game today lacking confidence and any real contribution. In fairness to him he went from left wing back to right side attacking midfielder - what is going on? I thought Johnson at right wing back was poor again lacking any confidence. We never seemed to know what to do with the ball except pass sideways and backwards and we lacked any urgency when we needed it. Looking forward to Lynch and Brandon Mason being fit. Give it 4 or 5 games and it will get better, I hope.
My first game of the season today and I didn't see anything to entice me back............ Absolutely woeful at very best. As I said previously, Drummy and Kewell tried the "passing game" that didn't work and I can see Betsy replicating those two.

Anyone else just feel no connection to the current team? I'm all for the manager bringing in his own players but you still gotta keep the core from last season. We still finished 12th last season with potential to have finished higher.
So no one noticed the numerous long balls we attempted throughout the game? Ok
Yep into two forwards who aren’t known for their pace and were up against their 6ft 5 centre backs. It was more interesting than passing sideways and backwards I suppose
