I may be unpopular here, but whilst I acknowledge its extremely unlikely to 'impossible', I want Crawley Town go win every game and every cup competition we enter.
I know it is unlikely George but let’s not say that it is impossible.
Hopefully we get a sold out stadium for this. It's a no-lose situation for the club as if we win it would be fantastic, lose and the club will have still made a lot of money from it. The last two times we've played the Championship holders have gone very well, so I am hopeful about this...
Can anyone confirm what our capacity is currently?? I know we’ve been in this position before, but I would love to know what our official evening capacity is, and therefore give a likely crowd figure for this match.
I want the Reds to do well in the League & Fa Cup this season. I am quite within my rights to say I want the Reds out of the EFL Cup & Papa Johns ASAP.
Most Fans with any knowledge of football will know that prolonged involvement in these 2 Comps affects the outcome in the League & FAC.
If you guys want the Fulham Game & Many More Games against Premier Opposition this season, then thats fine with me, but just remember I told you so, when the A Team Players FADE at the End of the Season in the Comps that Matter.
Except you didn't say anything like that before the game, did you? You went on about how it was a bust-up between Betsy and Telford, you went on about how we had to win because Bristol would play a weakened team. You have a unique problem, namely that while you often repeat yourself 57 times (is that the name?) with stuff like Craig is rubbish, you have a genuine problem remembering your trolls from the day before. So you get caught out, like you have this week with a completely different attitude about the League Cup competition before and after we won.
The issue is trolls disrupt discussion, around 90% of the posts on this thread instead of talking about the actual very interesting draw are responses to obvious provocation. For example, a good test of whether someone is actually on the level and making a genuine point is by going back to before Tuesday's result to see if the argument was being made then that the cup was unimportant and a meaningless fixture. What a surprise, it wasn't. That argument was only made after we had the great win. It's very wooden trolling and not for the first time.
What’s the best way to deal with provocation? Like I say I’m sure most people can handle this level of so called provocation. The trolling works both ways in that every post this user makes whether positive or negative, seems to get a flood of responses which is why the conversation goes off topic. If someone is trying to get a reaction what do you guys give him? I don’t agree with most of your views Steve so just gloss over them and you post a LOT more than most, so what who cares. It’s his opinion and we live in a land of free speech, don’t like it don’t read it simples.
You are absolutely free to disagree with everything I say, that is indeed free speech. The difference is you'll find me at Redz every two weeks. Try and find the other guy, ever. If you don't understand that difference, well I don't think I can explain it any better

I have been trying to work out our attendances before the games for some time.
Google states the capacity as 6,134, with the record attendance of 5,880 against at the Reading FA Cup games in 2013 (coincidentally, Sons FC Jr's first ever Crawley game) The Stadium Ground Guide also gives it as 6,134, with 3,295 seated. Neither source gives any indication of reduced or different capacity for evening fixtures. So it looks like anywhere between 5,500 and 5,880.
I try to work out attendance in advance of games by counting the number of tickets still for sale, subtracting this from the capacity after a nominal 1,500 away allocation and lost seats due to segregation are factored in to see how the attendance looks. This has never really worked and sometimes these figures are well out - by over 1,000 in some cases. I don't know why it doesn't work because it should.

Your formula doesn’t account for the hundreds of freebies they give out that people don’t turn up to use. That’s most likely the issue

Nice thought Matty, except my figures are always below what I expect - if I factored in free tickets, the figures would be higher.
Official Capacity is 6,134 . But is reduced by necessary spacing between Home and Away fans (200 - 250)
Rumours that the 6134 figure is currently inaccurate due to insufficient number of turnstiles for the east stand. Was wondering if there was any truth in this as some are suggesting the capacity is well below this figure.
Im basically trying to work out the likely number of tickets that will be available after season ticket holders etc have had their go.

A great draw for the club, at home to a Premier League team.
When I saw the full draw, I thought Stockport (non league last season) v Leicester (playing in Europe last season) would be an absolute cert for live TV coverage. I also thought our game against Fulham would have a good chance of being live on TV too.
How wrong I was.
Sky have selected Tranmere v Newcastle (I half get that, as the media seem to think Newcastle are the next Man City in the making 🤣)and Bolton v Aston Villa 🤷♂️
I hope Newcastle and Villa win easily and Stockport and us do the same to leave Sky with egg on their faces.

shame as you say but lets show them what they missed! Leeds game showed what we are capable of on the night

There will be plenty to go round for everyone if they are keeping the pricing the same as the league

If my maths serves me correctly there should be 3790 tickets available to Crawley fans for each game, that's based on 1150 west stand, 1350 terrace and then the bookable seats in the east stand from block D onwards which works out at about 1290. That leaves 864 seats for away fans and segregation in the east stand. If we know what allocation of seats away fans get, you should be able to add that onto 5140 for a fairly accurate match day capacity...... obviously i could be completely wrong and the terrace capacities could have changed since they were last published.
