They shaded the first half, us the second. We had some reasonable chances but their keeper made a couple of good saves, Tilley hit the bar and Bazalgizi blazed over near the end when he should have hit the target. They missed 2 good opportunities as well. A reasonable game I thought in that heat. Interestly, during game our injured players were treated by their lady physio. Ludwig looks to have done his ankle and had support boot on at H/T. Only 1300 there, our number wasn't announced.
That is a poor attendance! Makes our attendance the other week v Orient look good, but if the team doesnât start scoring some goals and picking up some wins soon we could easily be down to those numbers!
I guess current situation you have to take a point! Tony Craig has made the difference. Is anyone else finding the games bit hard to watch? I love an away day but not feeling the long journeys at the moment.
I didn't go due to the weather, train strikes and myself trying to save money for going away soon but I heard it was much better today despite not scoring and we created a few more chances. Defensively we seem a lot more solid than last year and Corey Addai is certainly a very competent keeper at this level.
Triple-header of home games now where hopefully we will see a few more goals going in the right end
They played a lot better than the Saturday before but still lacked that spark up front that would of been a goal. We did have two or three good chances but messed them up. Just hope the improvement continues on Tuesday night.
Yesterday was awful really, having improvements of having created a few chances isn't really good enough I'm afraid and 'creating' is generous as our chances came from lucky breaks and deflections. At times yesterday we had no one in the middle of midfield at all, that is a serious problem, if we want to play this nice passing football we at least need people to show for the ball. The forwards were very isolated and as mentioned earlier got no real service. We seem to be very easy to play against and we are very boring to watch. It's a real shame about Ludi's injury and it came from us messing about with it at the back again. Craig is a positive he is very solid. Johnson is neither a positive or solid, how he is starting over Tilley I do not know. Massive week coming up for us, I do worry for Betsy if we have not scored a league goal by Saturday. Wagmi will want to see quick improvements.
Agree with the above, I found us quite a boring watch. When we go forward youâre almost just waiting for the attack to break down. Having said that, I thought Tilley looked very good when he came on, but Craig got my MOM because of the clean sheet. He is looking solid, and the additions to our defence seem to have given him a kick up the arse.
I thought it was a terrible game, Harrogate look bottom 4 material and In all honesty I donât think we looked too much better. Having said that, itâs still early days and a win on Tuesday will leave us looking respectable in the league. COYR

Thanks, that seemed close to the assessment of Gary Smith too
I take on Board what many of you have said about Craig the last 2 matches - he has had 2 very good games. However, we still concede 1.8 goals every time he has started for Crawley and if we are relying on Craig together with a proven Mid Table Midfield of Powell & Hess, then i'm afraid Bottom half awaits us.
So the 2 matches without Craig playing we conceded. The 2 matches with Craig in defence we kept two clean sheets. You are talking nonsense again.
If I were you I'd be more concerned about the lack of goals this season. 1 in 4 matches. Dreadful. Barely any shots on goal either. Our problems are not in defence - although if our centre backs keep getting injured at the rate they are they soon will be.
Based on the stats we were poor yesterday. Based on the match report from the beeb and the highlights we were the better side.
I do worry that our 3 at the back is turning into 5 and that leaves us with a midfield 2 against the oppositions 3. You can't really play passing game when outnumbered.
The old adage about when things are going well or going badly look to the midfield springs to mind. If we are outnumbered in midfield that may be the cause of our goal shyness.
EVery Match Craig has started for Crawley in his long stint here we have conceded '1.8' '1.8' '1.8' '1.8' Goals Per Match. Which bit of that dont you understand Muppet? It is not an appointment to secure Promotion!
Stats arenât everything my friend as Wagmi the so called âstatistic mastersâ are finding out firsthand.
