We have just signed a young striker from Barnsley on a 2 year deal David Bremang. A quick search on wiki reveals that he is yet to score a goal. He can only improve. another strange signing is a loan goalkeeper David Robson. I can only guess that the injury to Elery Balcombe is more serious than first thought.
So we have paid a fee for striker who has never scored a goal.....our recruitment policy is interesting to say the least. Anyway best of luck David....we may even get to see you play!

That Wikipedia page is out of date, also Bremang was Barnsley's top goalscorer for their u23s last season so he definitely has some potential.
As for people mentioning his lack of goals in senior professional football, I'm sure very similar things were said about a little known striker called Max Watters when his signing was announced
I was hoping that we'd sign a taller, more physical hold-up striker? At 5 11, I guess we'll have to see what this guy's skills are
I found an interview he gave to Barnsley at the end of last season where he said he sees himself as a physical striker that likes to score headers, so don't think being as tall as Peter Crouch is a necessity in order to be a great target man

Without trying to sound too confrontational why does every unknown player we sign get compared to Max... and how long will this continue. Don't get me wrong I hope he a storming success but come on Max was a one off which is why he's always mentioned I suppose even if it does happen the player would soon be sold....even after half a season!

Can I agree with this without causing an argument?
One of the best target men I've seen play was Andy Gray, Everton and Scotland. He was/is also 5"11. I also remember the little Czech centre forward in euro 96 (Kuka?). Nobody pushed him off the ball.
Welcome to both and I wish you a happy and successful time with Crawley Town.

I think the Max Watters comparison has (rightly) come out as a positive response to the usual negative reaction to a signing like this.
