I am a student at Loughborough University working in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts, to help research rivalries in the English Football League. The Know Rivalry project is seeking to learn more about the psychological, cultural and commercial effects of football rivalries in the UK.
The views of Crawley fans could be used to support the marketing and broadcasting of the club, especially in the build-up to games against rivals. Your views on other EFL clubs would be recognised and provide data on what games Crawley fans look forward to most.
Your survey is flawed. No selection for Dover as rivals.
Tbf I'd be interested to see which clubs are really disliked by people on here for what may not be obvious reasons (for example one of the clubs I gave a high score to was Portsmouth because of how gobby I find their fans can get)
We don’t really have any specific rivals as we have seldom played local teams on a permanent basis - especially in our conference days and now in the league. We have rarely had local derbies.

Interesting. Did you watch the video posted on here showing the 2 pompey fans view of the game? Thought they came across well all in all

To be honest my view mainly came from how a lot of people who I went to university with were like whenever they won something or even had one decent game against say Fleetwood

Follow-up on this - we're only looking at EFL clubs for now. But, it would be great to hear your views on other EFL clubs. Looking at the respondents from Wimbledon, most consider Crawley a rival, if you're interested.

Cheers, Jude
Nah! You're just stirring the pot to get us to say horrible things about Wimbledon

I don't think we need any encouragement to do that.

No doesn’t surprise me actually, they genuinely don’t like us either, and they can’t say they’ve moved on and left us behind any more🫢
