If the funeral takes place Saturday 17th September there is talk on some social media that all sporting events will be cancelled that day. Crawley are due to play away at Crewe on 17th September.
"My son in law is a scheduler at DAZN and has been officially told that all games are off this weekend as a mark of respect for Queen Elizabeth. Update. All Pl games off for 10 days."
no idea if reliable but anything is possible I suppose and if affects PL can guarantee all football will follow

I had a look on there led me to twitter.com/OfficialBHAFC and I believe the blue of the club has gone black! Ok firstly RIP the Queen but the pandemic was bad enough without sport please don't cancel the game this weekend its bleak enough with the thunderstorms weve had
The games that were meant to be played tomorrow (Burnley v Norwich and Tranmere v Stockport) are both off now. Apparently decision will be made tomorrow regarding the weekend's games but to be honest I only see one outcome
I think push on with the sports scene. She lead a nation and I'm sure she would relish that we get on with life she was never one for putting off until tomorrow, I'd say she would be proud of the future.
Sad though her death is, I think the only sport that should be called off is on the day of her funeral. Indeed, it would probably be more practical for it to be a one-off public holiday - especially as it looks likely to be a Monday.
I have seen a number of televised matches in the last few days along with our own yesterday. Apart from the echo of the national anthem the silence has been impeccable . I still say Saturdays matches should have gone ahead as the football fan response has be top notch.
I agree, the silence and national anthem were respected impeccably, by both clubs and sets of supporters.
In hindsight, I also agree the match on Saturday should have gone ahead - there would have been a larger crowd (probably with a higher number of younger supporters) to share an emotional moment together.
Unfortuntely desite having a ST i could only watch on ifollow last night. I missed two big things: an opportunity to sing the National Anthem and to cheer Crawley to a win. Thats life. Went to Carlisle it wasnt great but over the season Im confident I will see more wins. We are of course on an overall unbeaten run.
But I did join the minutes silence stood up. Seriously, dont think ive ever done that before for a screen, but it felt right.
