That's a pretty decisive poll I reckon and apart from Brighton fans who are in a bit of chaos over the manager, I reckon that's how most supporters feel at most clubs. Own goal by the suits or the blazers, whatever you want to call them
Shows the disdain that the elites have for lower class people, what with middle class sports like rugby and cricket carrying on this weekend and football being suspended.
The great north run took place today with 60000 runners. Brendon Foster stating that it is what the Queen would have wanted to see, people coming together and paying their respects. Football authorities got it wrong.

There were concerns about people singing negative songs or making disparaging chants about the monarchy. Some parts of the UK don't have a particularly friendly history with the English or with royalty. Something I read very recently was about the blowing up of a post box in Scotland early in Elizabeth II's reign. The issue was about the ERII on the post box. Someone was upset about it because she was only the first Elizabeth to rule Scotland, and the previous Elizabeth (Ann Boleyn's daughter) caused the Scots Queen (her half sister, I think) to be executed. The Post Office left the box blank after the blowing up. History runs deep in some places and I suppose that's understandable for those who are passionate about such things.
However, delaying the possibiliy of disparaging chants and songs by a few days will only pour fuel on the fire (if, indeed, such a fire still exists), so it's probably better to get it out of the way.
Correction offered: It's not a bit of a pisstake. It's a total pisstake. But we all know there are plenty of self-entitled toffs there who believe themselves to be exceptions to rules. I wouldn't want to paint all with the same broad brushstroke, as I imagine that some who attend are not like that.
