I understand that this role works differently from club to club but what support, if any, will our DofF be giving to the struggling manager? I haven't seen any improvement in our performances since the appointment was announced.

It all depends whether the DoF will be in charge of transfers - in which case we will have to wait until the end of the season to see any results - or if he is going to have a say in first team matters from the off, if that's the situation then he's had no real effect yet. But it could take a bit of time for any new ideas or different approaches to make a difference. But if he is as stats-driven as the rest of Wagmi, surely alarm bells will be ringing already. However, if he 's as laid back as Preston, don't hold your breath for any improvements.

I suppose it would be unrealistic for any sort of update from him....unless of course I have missed it. Letting the fans know what and how we are going about things does help engagement I believe.
Have some vague memory that his role was outlined in the original press release of his appointment. Not sure what can be said much more than that but let's see
