If England win group B in the World Cup then England will play Sunday 4th 7pm KO, but if England are runners up then England play Saturday 3rd December 3pm the same time that Crawley play Swindon Town - that would be madness. I'm very surprised the club have not thought this through and announced that in the scenario they clash with England on the Saturday the game isn't moved to say Friday night 2nd December. I believe they would have to give Swindon notice and the league would have to agree. Does anyone know how this works? It would be a disaster if the club left it too late and were prevented from moving the date of the match if it clashes with the England game.
Then if England win the group and the round of 16 match they end up playing Saturday 10th December 7pm, but if England go though the group stages as runners up would end up (if they win the round of 16 match) playing the q/final game on Friday 9th 7pm (the same evening Crawley play at home to Hartlepool (re-arranged from 3pm Saturday 10th December - which of course raises the question (I'm aware on forum elsewhere) why was the need to move the Hartlepool game anyway and if so, before knowing the England situation).

Agree it would be madness to play the game at the same time as an England World Cup knockout match. I note that the National League, National League North and National League South are all playing their fixtures at 12:30 this Saturday (just in case I presume!) Also some League One and League Two games have also brought their kick off times forward too. Maybe we will see a change to our game once we know tomorrow evening where England will finish in the group? Having said that, surely it would be too late to change the kick off with only a few days notice.
I think the potential issue of this along with the possible farce of the Hartlepool rearrangement are a complete debacle.

What an unnecessary mess. Why cant the club get a grip on things? I have a couple of PL fans that were thinking of coming to see some football but want to know what the outcome of Wales v England is first as their thoughts were also on surely Crawley wont play at the same time as England.

According to the BBC fixtures, 4 League Two teams have taken the precaution of switching to 12.30pm/1pm kickoffs but we are in the majority who haven't. In the unlikely event of a very poor Wales team lifting themselves, you'd think the Football League and both clubs would be sympathetic to a switch earlier, fortunately Swindon fans wouldn't be coming from, say, Carlisle
A 12.30/1pm ko might be great for some to watch the game in Redz after the Crawley match, but Redz isn't that big and it certainly can't accommodate everyone in comfort. That will leave many either prepared to miss the start of the England match or have to choose. This really has not been thought out very well at all by the club. Yet they have already moved the Hartlepool game - you couldn't make this up how daft it's been handled.
