I think having a burly striker to help feed Dom is preferable to having Tom but we haven't got one yet. Akinde moved from Gillingham to Colchester for no fee as he mutually agreed a termination of his contract (I read and assume true) and although probably not my first choice somebody of that type is badly needed to add some strength and holding ability to the front line. Omar Bogle is another who springs to mind and we have seen a few big lumps here this year who just prove a handful to mark and feed off for others - Tom couldn't do this and if we have Dom we need to use him in the best way.
Ok first off we have a big burly striker to act as target man for Telford. He's called Aramide Oteh. Why he's not playing in a front two with Telford baffles me.
Secondly, why do we need to sell Nichols in order to get a new striker in? Answer is, we don't. We could have utilised him as an attacking midfielder playing behind the strikers. Galley, Wagmi, and evidently you have some very strange ideas about the team. Sadly, Nichols has gone, and needs replacing. Selling him when Nadesan is injured is crazy.
Fair point re Oteh who I like as a player but he doesn't meet the type I had in mind just yet but one day he may be at that level

CTSA, Thanks for your response to my above questions.
I do feel many fans will be worried that the 'New Recruitment Analyst' is now working alongside Galley.
Please ask Wagmi if the New Manager is going to be responsible for recruiting/scouting new players? or whether Galley & The New Recruitment Analyst' are going to be responsible for recruiting/scouting new players?
Even if Wagmi's response to your question is 'We are not prepared to answer this question'. Then we as fans need to know this sooner rather than later.
Thanks for this lads. Agree that Preston comes across as a genuine enough fella. Hopefully he is front and centre of communication between fans and the club from now on, I think it's pretty clear Eben is unfit for anything at all in that regard. If he must make decisions then hopefully he does so quietly.
Bring on the new manager (as mentioned, maybe it isn't Lindsey if PJ said he has league experience, as that's barely true of SL any more than it was Lewis or even Betsy), and the new CEO and hopefully we can get a few results and start putting this whole sorry mess behind us. I'm sick of the way things have been lately and just want to get back to supporting my team, starting Saturday.
I think we all agree with this comment Dave, it's been an absolute nightmare this season.
Let's hope Saturday is the start of a new glorious era for our great club.
Thank you CTSA for requesting the meeting and asking the questions. Some of the answers were an acceptable reply to recent events....others less so No matter what we have a team to support on Saturday and they need our support now as much as any time in the past....I'm sure we'll all oblige. COYR.
Well said Trevor Let's get behind the lads on Saturday The future starts here ! COYR
Sounds mostly like they are trying to appease the CTSA and as such I believe very little of what Preston and his other band of investors have to say.
the proof will be in the pudding, firstly by bringing in a L2 experienced manager not someone with half a seasons experience but who has been in relegation fights and possibly promotion winning teams.
re-instate the 3 players who appear to now be surplus to requirements even though we don't have a manager to even judge if they want them as part of the setup
bring in a CEO who has ran a club before and again knows how to run a smaller team and over achieve (not an easy ask this tbf)
once these things are in place we can then try and look forward but without doing the above i fear it will be to late and the nail could be being banged into the coffin by mid to late Feb

We got the opportunity to ask this to Scott and so hopefully be able to publish the answer tomorrow.

Hi,
We had the opportunity to ask Scott some questions. Below is the answer:
Q: Given that the owners and directors of football just sold arguably one of our best players to a relegation rival, will you have any input-on transfer sales, or will that be the director of football telling you which players stats’ will work?
A: Well no. Of course, I am the head coach here, so I am a big part of that process. I don’t think that the football club will sign any player without my say so. I think it’ll be clear to see that me and Chris work closely together and we’ll be working closely together moving forward and it’s a process. We look at data, what positions we need and do their strengths fit into the remit of how we play.
We got the opportunity to ask this to Scott and so hopefully be able to publish the answer tomorrow.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your kind words. Only reason why I didn't do it last night was 'cos the question was asked by Mark Dunford (Journalist) on behalf of the CTSA. I wanted to check Mark was happy that we were to publish the answer. I thought he would be but I wanted to check. These answers have not been screened and here is a video of Scott saying the answer himself:

CTSA, Thanks for Above Feed. Maybe you can clarify this with Preston but sounds like the following to me is happening.
The New Manager will be 'PART of the Recruitment Process', he will need to agree the New Signings Proposed by Galley & The New Recruitment Analyst'. Moneyball with a Slight Difference has started!
Any Other Manager would have said 'I am responsible solely for new player recruits.
