Well it’s a relief to get something from this game as that point brings us a little further away from the relegation zone and 1 place higher up the table than if we had lost. Every point will be crucial between now and the end of the season. This team will struggle to stay up though. We need to start regularly winning our home games as we haven’t won away from home all season. An ok result in the end, but quite honestly we need to be winning these games at home against teams in lower mid table as we can’t seem to beat any of the teams around us.
I thought Gladwin was awful second half was lacking in pace and kept giving the ball away but then he scored the goal so can’t really complain. I thought Roles for someone who wasn’t playing for Woking did really well and seems to be the set piece man when Powell is not on the pitch. Also good to see Lynch back on. Unfortunately the headed miss of Francillete was our undoing and felt unfair to Addai who also had a good game. At least we got a point in the end as points on the board means we get further away from the drop. Gillingham also lost today which really benefits us. Two tough away fixtures now.
Crewe took the lead and we collapsed, complete chaos, disarray at the back. SL needs to earn his wage when we are behind and struggling, no organisation no idea. Gladwin grabs the equaliser and scenes at the Broadfield, that point could be massive in the end. Lynch upfront looked desperate and somewhat pointless as we could've crossed far more but were hesitant. Constant diving cheating from those Northern b@stards; FT 2-2 what a game!
The reason we were so poor in the second half was that the Crewe manager spotted two of our (many) weaknesses and changed his team to exploit them. I could see what they were doing after 3 minutes. Not sure why our manager couldn't. No team us great running towards their own goal but we are at another level...a much lower level. First weakness they exploited was only one up front Telford cannot close both centre halfs down. Second was the gap between our centre backs and full gacks. Their two centre backs were launching long balls into empty space and we couldn't cope.
The same problems exist now as they have for the last few seasons. No strength in midfield or attack. Great as long as we are not pressured. Not so great when we are.
Two shots on target in a home game. Just not good enough.

I accept your judgement on this particular game Jim, but almost every home game for years now the last 20-30 minutes we look out of puff and stick all the players behind the ball. Are the players fit enough? How and where are we training? Do we have a fitness coach?

Spot on Jim. For a team that is trying to “get balls into Telford” and is so keenly focused on xG we don’t shoot that often. The exception was the last home game where all players were trying to shoot.

We did have a fitness coach but he left like last month.
Again we seemed to run out of ideas(and puff) in second half. Need to make more of chances in first half and try and leave some energy for second half if going to play so intense in first half. Really need to win these home games if going to have any chance of staying up. Only started playing in second half once they were down to 10 men. Thought Gordon had good game. Need to use all subs and bringing early if losing and underperforming in second half.

If I didn't know better I would think you are Crawley57away

Yes if we play 1st half intensity in the fast lane we need to be a few up by the interval.
