Thank you very much for managing a win at hopeless Hartlepool but serioudly we've found out now you have taken us as far as you can. A (muddled poorly-informed) plan A and no (idea) plan B. How about plan C WAGMI you get this guy punching above his weight to punch a bit harder and get us some knock-out blows because teams at this level have worked us out or you ship him out. Last throw of dice and some serious money for January or cut all our losses. Literally they are coming at us far too frequently. Act now WAGMI or your dream of L1 will be a pipe-dream.
It’s all about opinions on this forum as it should be, but I couldn’t disagree more.
SL is exactly who we need and be careful what you wish for.
He’s working on a shoestring and doing a bloody good job in the circumstances.
I’m not part of the Wagmi out brigade but they do need to back him up far more than currently and loosen their purse strings asap.
If SL had the resources of half the other clubs in this League we’d be far higher up the table than we are currently.
If we’re patient, we’ll see a stronger more experienced team this time next year after their first proper full season together right now , led by SL.
Of course he’s made mistakes, but very few thankfully, in my opinion.
Agreed, Wagmi need to give Scott some money to add experience to all areas: central midfield, big striker, left and right Centre backs and a keeper ideally. I was hoping the reason was to push for the playoffs, but it is looking like so we don't get dragged into the bottom eight. I think we only need five or six wins to be safe, but I do think we need to strengthen to ensure we finish mid table.
Definately need to strengthen and thats also part of the RRR message. As for strengthening to stay up, what about promotion that WAGMI talked up? If we haven't anyone waiting in the wings then we are stuck with WAGMI and most likely SL. I'm hearing Solanke isn't for sale, but I'm sure our friends from WAGMI could persuade him to make the move. Over to you Preston. Johnson not North End.

Indeed, the part I was disagreeing with was a threat to "ship SL out". I reckon he's earned enough brownie points for a mediocre season, and I'm not convinced another manager could do better with our limited resources anyway.

What concerns me is that we still haven’t had a peep out of Preston and Eben so far this season. Makes me uneasy especially since this season has been much better in terms of our league table and general attendances. Something I thought they would want to celebrate as it’s partly their doing with the price freezes.

I am really not surprised that they are keeping their heads down after the abuse of last season whether warranted or not (my view is on record!). They are are on a loser whatever they say or do so we can only hope that they find some way to look to mend fences but that ship may have already sailed.

Don't agree with RRR but do feel Scott needs to take defending a bit more seriously and agree with you Sooty that not being that concerned about a lack of clean sheets smacks of naivety. However, he has done a good job overall and deserves a chance to see if he can learn from our defensive difficulties and move forward. I cant help thinking that with a solid defence, we might be a match for most teams.
I think SL has got it tactically wrong the last couple games and got the picked the wrong team selection. In majority of games this season I'd say we've had good performances. When we look at where we were last season to now there has definitely been an improvement.
