I see some clubs are having to play games at other grounds due to numerous postponement due to the weather.
Potters Bar have 8 fixtures to play in 18 days and are playing two fixtures at Haringey this week to ensure they go ahead.
Plymouth Parkway are playing 9 fixtures in 18 days playing 3 games a week to the end of the season.
Taunton are playing 6 games in 11 days, but the reward must go to Truro City who are playing 7 games in 12 days: Monday, Weds, Thurs, Sat this week and Tues, Thurs, and Sat next week. The first 6 games are "home" but they have not played in Truro for a while due to their pitch and Taunton's being waterlogged. I believe they are playing at Gloucester City now.
Imagine what Klopp and Guardiola would have to say if Liverpool or Man City had these fixture schedules and these guys are part-time with small squads!
Reminds me of our 2001/01 and 2002/03 seasons, when we had to play Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday (the only variation being Saturday-Monday-Wednesday over Easter), plus, in the 2000/01 season, we had a Sunday fixture as well.
Ironic they are having to play at Gloucester. Do you recall those pictures of Gloucester's badly flooded ground where the crossbar was the only thing you could see?
Many non-league teams have riddiculous amounts of games and every tin pot tin bucket tin medal cup you can imagine to play too. They sometimes have large squads when younger u18 for example are drafted in. Does the season need extending? Id say no what it needs is less tin pot trophy competitions or a system like byes to later rounds based on grading/past success/league position/status and scrap replays at least until very later stages like q/f onwards and/or no extra time.
Junior football (also not uncommon if league has u18/19 division) play double-headers one half the home match second half the away match. Cant see that happenning but you never know! The halves are extended so overall playing time is as if it were a cup games with extra time. Can you imagine attending a match on this basis? Back-to-back matches (obviously with a shortish interval inbetween each).
Just found out that Yeovil can win the league when they play Truro at Gloucester on Thursday.
Should have done it Saturday but Worthing beat them.

Indeed Jim.
A draw will be enough for Yeovil tomorrow. The fact that Truro are playing tonight as well, you have to fancy Yeovil to get a minimum of a point. Truro play Eastbourne Borough tonight which is a bit of a relegation 6 pointer. Hopefully Eastbourne Borough will stay up (although not entirely in their hands as Truro and Taunton have games in hand. Be good to see Worthing promoted too - they are guaranteed a play-off spot already.
