There's a lot of talk about this over on twitter. Our top goal scorer with 20 to his name plus 2 assists, It'll be interesting to see how this pans out in the next week or two ? Of course it could just be a rumour ... but anybody who scores 20 goals is going to be a wanted man www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/06/03/por-luton-and-coventry-chase-collins/page/1/
It will be a real indication of the clubs ambition if we sell Collins to another league two club.
At the moment Kewell dosent appear to be the manager more a stewge. A chance for him to show he is his own man and grow a pair by insisting Collins stays. He will need a 20 goal striker to keep us up.
If we have any ambitions for play off/promotions we need to do all we can to keep him. If the owners are looking to just stay up in the league, there's a very good chance he will be sold and if he is sold I doubt he would be replaced.
I'd much rather he stays as he was my player of the season last season, but after the press conference and the noises we've got from the club since haven't been positive, with Kewell talking about working with what we've got and us retaining so many poor players from last year, so far I don't feel excited about next season.

There are a lot of Reds players id like to send to Coventry boom boom!! But not our only striker i say only as really without JC we would have been relegated. Hands off or as we have no industrial language blocker f... off loo town and coventree
I know there are phones but I would suspect nothing beats a face to face discussion and until our manager returns from the far side of the world this is going to be difficult. Any idea if he is also going to be away at the Confederation Cup as well? If so will not be able to use him to impress players for some time and will have to rely on Selim and Warren Feeney, not quite what was envisaged when Ziya suggested a local man (maybe he meant Selim?).
Also maybe we are going to rely on Matt Harrold as our main striker, which much as I think he is a decent person, would probably be limited to half a dozen games based on his appalling injury record since joining us?

With friends like you ....... a third hand rumour and you're already having a go at the new manager, what basis have you got for calling him a stooge?
The manager will do what the owner tells him to do, that's how businesses are run and if there is a difference of opinion then they sort it out one way or the other, there's no surprise that other clubs are interested in Collins, why wouldn't there be?
Do Luton or Coventry have a spare £200,000 lying about to shell out for JC? If we are serious then we keep him. If someone offers £300,000 for a player who we got on a free just a year ago, who'd cash in?
Time for Kewell/Selim to step up to the mark and bring in players that will see us challenge for the play-offs next season.
Apparently he was a Coventry season ticket holder in his youth .. I'm sure if everything we read is true ... that'll help swing it one way or the other
Let's see how this one pans out. Collins is linked to Coventry every summer, he always will be as he is a City fan. If Collins is sold, it will only add to my long running suspicion that Mr Eren and co are not exactly who we think they are......finance wise.
When Haŕry K was released by Watford one reason guven was his inability or unwillingness to devote time to the job. Since we appointed him he has bee out the country. If he goes to the conferation cup during the season he should be sacked.

I rather think these things would have been covered during his interview, we therefore have three scenarios ;
1) He goes to the Confederation Cup with the owners consent
2) He goes to the Confederation Cup without the owners consent which will leave him open to disciplinary action by the owner
