That's one in the eye for the fans that think Bulman is the second coming .......
Elsewhere I see that Payne is wanted by Port Vale, Cheltenham and others while Bradford, Forest Green and Colchester 'are in a race' for Palmer, I rather think that after the Doidge debacle hitting the fan today that Forest Green are in the race for nobody
Don't believe anything from the EFL Hub page it isn't ran by anyone in the know just made up stories James Goodwin on twitter gets 90% of stuff right
He hasn't always caught the eye, but the changes to formation have also really helped to make Payne stand out recently...
...five defensively minded players behind him, a non-stop ball chaser beside him & three mobile forwards ahead of him... and suddenly he looks like a very decent quality playmaker...!
Shame Mr Payne is so decidedly one footed! He often sees the pass but simply refuses to use the left peg and often gets caught in possession as a result or gives the ball away. Hes also lucky to have Panutche to do the hard yards for him. Might be a bit late to force the use of the Left Peg!
Absoloutly agree Camara would make me look good, he covers the work of two men in defence and still takes the ball and offers an attacking threat.
If hes coached correctly he will go up a level or two. Payne's just a journey man. No where near fit enough or athletic to move up.
True, but it is not just the work rate of Camara (who only needs to develop a bit of composure), but the whole revised formation that suits Payne... in fairness, he has made the most of the opportunity.
Contrasting sharply with earlier in the season when as part of a midfield triumvirate alongside Morais & Randall, he never really stood out & was often left in a mopping-up role.

Yes Payne is suited to a deep lying midfield role without too many defensive responsibilities where can focus on his strengths of dictating our attacks from a deep position with his range of passing. He’s not a world beater for sure, but he’s effective enough at this level when used properly.
I have edited a number of posts on this thread that may offend some people, whilst that may not have been the intention here (and elsewhere) would all forum users please consider the diversity which we live in thank you. My sincere apologies for picking this up late and thank you for more than one person that brought this to the Mods attention. I will now with Alex be paying closer attention to the language used as whilst we encourage open debate, we must also be careful about the language that we use and be mindful of the diversity upon which we live and others around us do too. Thank you.
Personally would like to see Camara play in the Poleon role...up front with Ollie.
He’d still come back chasing the ball, think it’s best he’s in midfield suits his game best.
I’m afraid I still haven’t joined the Camara fan club, yes he runs around but he also gives the ball away a lot rarely makes the right decision when going forward and won’t shoot. Sorry everyone.

I am a big fan of the Pooch, love his drive & attitude, but can accept that he will be frustrating on occasions.
Good news is that everything about him suggests that he is eager to learn & improve. Like most raw talents he has developed a few bad habits.
To highlight one, when receiving the ball he is sometimes inclined to let it hit his shins & then follow it... a common trait for quick players with long limbs... but it does often end up with him travelling in the wrong direction & lose us attacking momentum.
A few extra coaching sessions working on first-touch/first-time play will soon have that fixed, no problem..!

The Danny Rose story can be put to bed now as he's signed for Swindon until the end of the season, I wonder if we were ever in the hunt for him and he's one of the 'missed targets'
