Not wanting to stir the pot but we are in the sh1t We are on 33 points, it is widely thought that 50 points ensures safety in this league (JB once said 52 I think), That means 6 more wins, can anyone see that after yesterdays debacle where these wins are gonna come from?
IF the club decide the manager has to go the only viable option really would be to pass on the reins to Smith & Morrias.
Tough call.
Agree 100%. I think the Club should be bold and have the balls to do what’s right and sack him.
It’s not only EFL status that’s at stake, what about the number of employees it will affect?
To be fair with just two going down the survival mark is usually less than 50 points in this league, often around 45-48. Yes there will be freak years when it’s higher and we can’t rule out that this year will be one.
I would have said on 33 now we are on course to survive but home games are key and no wonder people are rattled after losing to an out of form team like PV. But we know the standards in this league are so flat - we are just as likely to to beat a top 7 team as a bottom 7 one it often seems. I don’t fear visits of big teams because realistically there aren’t any
Come on lads he surely has to go. He clearly has no clue how to set up a team. His record speaks volumes! Got to go!!!!
so quick to complain
We need to support the team and management not just react to what wasn't a good performance Ollie was marked out of the game, no lack of effort on his part but not helped by ref who would have married the number 14 and Palmer in different circumstances so hands on they were!
What do we expect from a manager learning his trade, no money to spend and a distinctly average squad
Average is what we are and average is what we will get
Why employ a manager with no experience of the football league. With about 50+ applicants how did they arrive at that decision.i know they need to learn but a club like ours needed someone who has been there.with our limited resources we cant afford to take risks.
So this season we have played 29 Games and accrued 33 Points.
I was looking back over the tables from the previous few League 2 seasons we see where we were after 29 games.
Kewell; 29 Games 39 Points (13 points above the relegation zone)
Drummy; 29 Games 36 Points (10 points above the relegation zone)
Yates; 29 Games 34 Points (14 points above the relegation zone)
So, we’re one point worse than Yates and three points worse than Drummy, six points worse than Kewell.
In fact we were placed 17th under Yates at this stage (we’re 17th this season). But the difference in position relative to the relegation zone is striking. As has been pointed out elsewhere it may be that this season the points total to survive might be higher than in the last few years.
At the moment I can see the owners giving Cioffi the Swindon game (I seem to remember us being on a bad run before we went there last season and won) but everyone at the club must be concerned.
By the way I’m not blaming Cioffi; he’s tried his best and given us some good performances but the form we’re in is a real concern. I suppose the question is do we stick (as Yeovil have done with Darren Way; they won their last two games) or get a replacement (as Macclesfield have done; they’ve also won their last two).
I see the usual doom and gloom merchants have crawled out of their shells...
Don't tell me you are going to highlight what a great job Ziya Eren and Gabriele Cioffi are doing at Crawley Town.
23 points from 22 games under Cioffi's management, that points/game ratio would have us relegated in most seasons. All that on a playing budget up by 75% since Eren took over (or so the club claim).
Unbelievable, but then I suppose it wouldn't be Crawley Town if people didn't bury their heads in the sand or their noses up the owner's backside.
No good ever comes of keep sacking / losing managers (just look at Notts County for an example) the club needs stability with a manager given a chance with his own choice of players, GC was not helped by losing Palmer for 5 games Morais for at least that number and Smith for over half the season
In short if we had these 3 players all available we would be much better off points wise

i think you need to re write this.
1. Notts Co. Have HK and no good comes from him. A bit different to er Manure lets say.
2. We actually picked up points playes reasonably well with Poleon when Ollie wasnt initially available.
3. Morais performances has already been criticized...so how much have we actually missed?
4. We are inconsistent with or without players available.
