One question i feel the need to ask - i have only seen recordings of the goal - but why was Dannie in that position in the first place...?
Hi Thad - if I remember correctly we had a free kick or corner and the central defenders had gone up for that leaving DB as one of the 2 defenders
Thanks Alain, interesting, i had kinda suspected something similar, it was never a good match up (a return to the Vincelot situation) and arguably the problem stemmed from the breakdown of that attack.
I bet i wasn't the only one who saw the original lineup & thought there was plenty of running, but quality delivery might be absent...(?)
Bulman seems to be getting the blame but is it possible Morris called for him to leave it, any supporters close enough to hear?
I did not hear but the way Bulman ducked it looked to me that he may have heard a call of leave.
either way i prefer Morris in goal next week.
for all the criticism Cioffi has received regarding team selection, the team he seleced on Saturday played well and put up a very good fight against a good MK side. We were beaten by a silly mistake and our inability to score. We created enough goal scoring chances and should have won.
What has happened to Ollie Palmer. He is a shadow of the player he was earlier in the season.

I've just watched the goal and you can hear a shout of 'leave it' just as DB is about to head it. Although no can't be clear this shout was from Morris.

Aside from the manager every week thinking we should have got a result, it does seem this week we could and should have got a result but all the time we have no forwards to speak of (or in name only) and a midfield not chipping in with any goals, what chance do you have of getting anything, especially as the one thing you can usually rely on is us conceding at least one goal. Maybe Palmer is dreaming of all those sun soaked days at Southend?

Could have been Agard shouting but we'll never know

Incredibly, it was a cross straight after a throw in (see extended highlights). Where was McNerney? Agard is quick guy, i don't think many people would have reached that ball. Straight from the goal kick so it was a bit of a freak goal, i would have liked to blame the wind but i dont think it is possible, the way the stadium is made. i.e it's 'bowl' like.
Bare with me but the law says you must use your name or your team mates name or call keepers ball if you don't it is deemed as ungentlmly conduct as you could be pretending to be a team mate and gain an unfair advantage. Its a long time since I ref'd but I'm sure it's still the rule.

It's only the case if it is used to distract the opponent. In my opinion, if Glenn shouted leave it then the real dons player would've realised it was from a crawley player has opposed to a dons player. This means that it wouldn't warrent a IDFK
Been a while, but i recall that apart from general calls such as "away", "keepers", "out", "man on", "left shoulder", etc... you were instructed to use a name...
...although the quality of passing, usually meant that the most frequent cry was "hospital"...!
