Yes, I know it looks a bit odd at first glance, but this is how it would have finished under the old 2 points per win system. It's astonishing that a team is only beaten once in a season (albeit by the top team) and still finish second.
The points awarded for a win rule was changed because a lot of teams tended to play for a goalless draw away from home, but this was back in the days when goalkeepers were picking up back passes and players were committing fouls with far less chance of punishment (other than the free kick). This made it far easier to waste time legitimately and play for 0-0.
When those rules of play were changed, three points for a win remained. At the time of that change, I even wondered if it might be better to shift to 10 for a win, 5 for a draw, and one point per goal scored. It would make for some interesting final-day scenarios where a team could lose but still obtain a prize or avoid relegation.
I'm not advocating anything really, just pondering possibilities.
Financially, Sanchez must be the worst signing in the history of the PL.
looks like Chelsea got the best deal out of that triangular (Sanchez, Mkhitarian, Giroud) transfer circus... But none of them have been a roaring success.
Best of a bad bunch. Even Giroud is a fringe player.

I was very surprised that Man U sold Mkhitaryan, because he seemed to be doing well. But none of us are privy to the behind-the-scenes issues.

The disrespect shown in a sing song to a team (of outstanding ability chalked up more than enough points any other season to ein league at a canter and with only one loss) was disgraceful as was attempt to cover it up. Thick lot those Man City lot that didnt know what to do with a specially made light blue and white stick of rock....well ive a few ideas where those overpaid primma donna kebabs could stick them.

That is nothing compared with the disrespect you show to other teams on a daily basis.

Not really the same thing, though, is it? A keyboard warrior mouthing off continually on an internet forum - which is the right place to do it let's be honest - or a team of so-called professional footballers singing offensive (to some) chants, and having it appear on social media. Doesn't really paint Man City in a very good light does it? Whereas we all know RRR is a troll. We expect his behaviour.
I didn't say it was. I called him out as a troll, in case you missed that. Which he is a lot of the time.
I know you did i was simply making a point that it isn't just keyboard warriors guilty of discrimination and that people of all walks of life can be guilty of it

A song about the misfortune of a rival... I am not sure that anyone will be genuinely offended, but it may actually assist the motivational process...?

I'm sure Sean Cox's family were offended.
I think they have more important matters to focus on... although anyone can be offended by anything if they try hard enough...!
Lets keep a bit of perspective. Blimey, life was less complicated before the need to capture every moment on video & post it online...?

For a bit of perspective, please read the attached article which was written today.
Paul runs a fantastic site, but he’s decided to make this piece free-it puts into context the spending that City have done, in comparison to their rivals.
