It seems from social media today that there is some concern about the stability of the club now Kelly is gone. We were advised via the CTSA statement that “Nukhan will be taking over the running of the club off the field whilst Erdem will continue running the football side of the operation.” As my game on Tuesday was called off I thought I would spend a little time looking online to figure out who Nukhan Ruzgar actually is.
According to his online CV Nukhan was involved at Kayseri Erciyesspor between July 2013 and September 2017 as “Sports Director”. Their achievements in that time appear to be:
2014-2015 – Relegated from Turkish Super League
2015-2016 – Relegated from Turkish First League
2016-2017 – Relegated from Turkish Second League
2017-2018 – Relegated from Turkish Third League into amateur football.
According to press reports at the time Nukhan resigned as President in late 2016 (after a week!) the club had a transfer ban, 9 point deduction and players had not been paid.

Nukhan is listed on the club website as a director of the club, yet according to Companies House he is not actually a director of the club. In fact apart from the Foundation his only other directorship is of a Pound Hill based sports consultancy he owns called Bridge Sports Consultancy, curiously set up on the very day Cioffi was fired.
It will be interesting to hear at the next Fans Forum why with his background he believes he is better qualified than Kelly Derham, or indeed qualified in any way to run a League 2 football club? Also his confirmation that he has passed the FL Owners & Directors test?
Or does this all follow a pattern: Ziya Eren - the owner who bankrolls Crawley but is rarely seen at the club. Erdem Konyar, the ex agent and consultant – what experience does he have of running a football club? Selim Gaygusuz, the director of football, who was apparently a marketing man at Corals before joining Crawley. Who is Koray Duman – who describes himself on Twitter as a “Proud Director of Crawley Town” but of course isn’t. Emre Eren – according to club website is a director of the club, but again no record at Companies House.
I do like to give the benefit of the doubt, however there are many, many questions to be answered here before I would believe the future of the club is safe in their hands.
