Jim, you are a fine & decent fellow & likely any employers delight.
Yes, of course a manager has to use stick & carrot as appropriate, but haven't we already had far too many managers, over far too many seasons, telling us after a defeat that we "played them off the park"... boring.
I don't mind someone saying it how it is or the players having to take a spot of personal responsibility for their performances, c'mon... we should all reasonably expect them to get the basic stuff right as a minimum.
Managers should make it clear that players have to meet certain standards & stop treating fans like idiots in their post match interviews. In any case, fans rarely swallow the fake news.
Blimey, i don't even know why that Jurgen Klopp is always so smug. His midfield are clearly not functioning, they score few goals & are bloomin miles behind the fullbacks and the forwards in terms of assists. He needs to sort that out if he wants his team to start getting some decent results...!
Thad; don't get me wrong. A kick up the backside can do wonders for footballers (not a good ploy for us lowly keyboard warriors Andrew {my boss; bloody decent chap}) but it seems that every week he is having a go. Even when we've win he has said things along the lines of " this is what we expect" and " hard work is the minimum".
Sometimes just say well done or hard luck or, in if my boss is reading, "you deserve a pay rise" ( fat chance).
Given this and the Eastbourne result maybe the wrong time for Yems to be shouting the odds about a longer contract. Can’t see why the club shouldn’t see plenty of evidence about what he can do with the players first
