Is signing as a replacement for Watters. He's a local lad from Billingshurst was highly regarded at Brighton for a while but since hasn't really been able to hit a barn door with a broom handle. If we got £1m for Max would like to think we bring in a bit more established quality. I suppose we have also signed Josh Wright who won't have come cheap.
I do think if we are serious about playoff we need to keep our best players for a season at least.
ADMIN EDIT: Signing confirmed in Club official Twitter account
Welcome another unproven not substantiated rumour. If Max goes there is no need to panic we have other options and Leeds were well beaten before Max came on. If we lost another striker I would be more concerned. Dissapointed as I will be to lose Max I think its accepted its highly likely a question of when not if.
Of Late he has not been to prolific in the goal scoring department but can Yems and Bradbury work their magic like they have with others this season, I hope so.
In the interview he describes himself as a " forward player". As far as I can tell he has been playing in midfield. That may explain why he has not scored the amount of goals one would expect from a forward.

An ex Brighton u23 hardly the replacement for losing a million pound player. Havnt we already got enough midfielders? Looks like a youngster on the cheap. A gamble. One of many.
Why not give the guy a chance to at least kick a ball in anger for us before writing him off? 4 months ago Watters could have been described as a youngster on the cheap. What was his record? Non league football then a couple of years at Doncaster, mostly on out loan elsewhere. Before joining us he even has trials with Bromley and Dagenham, who obviously didn't rate him highly enough to sign him. Tilley may not be a direct replacement for Watters anyway, but let's at least give our coaches the chance to fit him into the side and see what he can do.

And look what happened to another gamble, what was his name now? something like Watters I seem to remember, oh and the other one, Nichols
I very much doubt Tilley is a replacement for Watters
However the club have proved to be very astute in the transfer market
In JY I very much trust. He signed a player who only played 19 games for us had no form anywhere else and turned him into a goal machine and bags us a potential £1mil to boot
If Tilley turns out to do half as well as Watters JY will have unearthed another top draw player.
Good luck James I hope you hit the ground running
