Interesting interview with Reece on the official site where he talks about his recovery from injury and an expected return date.

A bit gutted I would have loved to have seen him this season but I’m glad he’s taking his time to get back fully fit and ready. Too easy to rush back into it and then injure yourself again. Also credit to the club for helping support Reece with the injury and his comeback.
I forgot about him. I wish him well in his recovery and I'm pleased that we've got an update on an injured player for once, I'd appreciate if the club reached out more to the fans in terms of updating on on injuries.
Agree about players with a long term injury but not those who may be out for a few weeks - why would you want to give your opponents any information about your possible starting eleven before the team is announced.
There is another aspect to this: a player's injury is a medical issue and, like everyone else, a player has the right to medical confidentiality. Of course, he may waive that right if he chooses.

I’m still waiting on the Club to let us know the extent of the injury sustained by Robert Smith away to Stafford Rangers.

That is a fair point Paul, but I'm sure there can't be any complaints from any party if we just had a 'such and such is injured and having treatment' so we know they are still at the club. We don't need to know full details, just a basic and brief explanation as to why we haven't seen or heard of certain players for months on end would be appreciated and improves club and supporter relations.
