We've managed to win against the some good sides recently. Now the bit where we keep coming unstuck. Can we beat the sides that are not so good? Walsall will be looking to sit in and frustrate us. The ball over the top for Nadesan will not be on. Plan b required.
I would be making sure the players know that less than 100% and a win is not good enough.

Same Starting Line Up for 4th straight game and we will win again. Subs we could use late on - Tsourella (30 mins max), Frost (25 mins max), Tilly (15 mins max), Craig (10 mins max), Josh Wright (5 mins max). Follow them guidelines John and we will win again. I think with Hesketh on the Wide we look solid defensively and dont look like conceding many, but Hesketh is far better in the Centre for attacking options. Something for you to Mull Over John if ever we are Trailing at Half Time.
"How did we fall so far that Crawley is an expected loss and we all kinda accept it?"
I have suspected for a while that many opposition fans view us as a low benchmark. Defeat to Crawley being an unthinkable prospect for any self-respecting league side. Which might explain why we appear so frequently, to be the fixture preceding the exit of a defeated Manager...(?)

I remember walking away from a 3-2 win at Colchester U a few years back, and hearing 2 of the locals talking. "How could we have lost to Crawley. I don't even know where that is." "It's some sh*thole in South London, mate" came the reply.
This is the sort of game - like Stevenage and Grimsby recently - where you think we should really get something from this. That's usually when it goes horribly wrong! I'll go for 1-1.

This is not unusual. I read through the opposition fans forums before every game (I am sure others do too) and this is the overwhelming reaction. Typically, "it's only Crawley", "routine win", "an easy three points" - some of the more stark ones in recent weeks - Mansfield "if we don't take anything from this game there is something really wrong", Bradford, "every game against us is their cup final", Salford (in advance of Wembley and the possibility of playing a weakened team) "it doesn't matter what team we put out, or how many changes we make, we will still beat them", ad nauseam, ad infinitum.
It is all the better re-reading these when we beat them.

JOHN YEM'S RED ARMY!
Bradford couldn't even beat us at boxing, never mind football.
We were comfortably outplayed at their place earlier in the season, the standards of this league are much flatter than most, will be just as hard as all the recent games so hoping it will have the same outcome, 1-0
