The Obby says 12 players are out of contract in the summer. The paper has history of not getting all the facts correct so I reckon some may have an extension clause. Thoughts?
According to the GH website some of the out of contract players have options for another year. I would expect all of them to be taken up put we still might lose some (Tunnicliffe and Nichols may get offers from league 1 or higher). I would also expect Powell would be offered a new deal and I personally would also offer McNerney and Sesay deals. Allarakhia has never let us down and Burnett is meant to be very promising.
The issue for me is where to open space in the squad for some players that I feel are required to push on.

Watters Gone, Hesketh Gone, Tunnicliffe will be gone, Nicholls will be gone, Yems will be gone, Owners will be gone and CTFC will be gone to the Conference. We should be getting promoted had correct decisions been made in January. What an amazing story of decline in 3 months!
😂😂😂😂 what a load of rubbish. And contradicting yourself now as I’m sure you want Yems to go. Almost like you want all of it to happen though. Be interesting to see how we could get relegated from the position we’re in, but hey, I guess if you want something badly enough...

Totally agree with the 2 posts above....amazing story of decline in 3 months You clearly haven't ben following the reds for long. Anyway, when I grow up I want to be a fireman or postman Pat.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but if we win today and Grimsby and Southend lose (tomorrow in Southend's case) we are actually mathematically safe .........
Just hope I have not put the mockers on today now.

Yes quite, I do wonder how some fans would’ve coped in the past.

We need to keep 7 and a half players - The rest can go.
They are Morris, Davies, Tunnicliffe, McNerney, Tsaroulla, Francomb, Hess & possibly Nicholls if we have a No9 for him to play behind but not to keep him as an out and out Striker. We also need to Buy Hesketh if we can get him for £500,000 and he's fit. That's it Folks - Get Rid of the Rest - The Rest are Conference Standard, with the exception of Nadderz and he just flatters to deceive and cant score!
Mcnerney has looked rather poor for a few games now....definitely need at least 3 new defenders, craig is past it,francombe ,davies and nick t could be better used in midfield....but I bet we just end up Doherty returning.. Need something better than Wright and Powell in midfield..
The club have had limited income and STH will get reimbursed (or carry forward into much reduced ST next season) that and all the other spin offs will massively reduce the money available to spend. I cannot see any of Watters money being used in players I presume it just kept is afloat. So it may well be another season of just surviving before we try to re-build again. Yes Im sure we'll shuffle the pack but that's just gonna be a much for much player with the hope of picking up another Watters to pay off the huge bill of running a football league club on the second lowest gates of all teams premier league to league 2.
Bit of a vicious circle really, after the leeds game we would have gained some extra interest and support as we were seemingly entertaining and successful...since then we have been dire and woeful and even I have given up paying to watch on I player...... The circle being success brings the extra support and money that comes with it,if we are to stay as we are just playing to the converted(and hope they dont go)...we need to be successful and entertaining to grow , that's why we do need changes this summer...

Yes agreed, and we as a club still owe (I believe) around the sum of one million of a loan to Ziya Eren?

So virtually a completely new squad then, well don’t expect that to gel straightaway. Then you can come on here in November and moan about there being no stability, continuity and too much chopping and changing of the squad.
