Having had my fill of the pr£mier league I am going to try supporting my local club next season instead.
I have some simple questions if you could help please? 1. Is there there transport from the station to the stadium or is it walkable? 2. Is there a particular pub where folk drop in on the way? 3. Is there a fanzine? 4. Any other info that could help gratefully received.
1. A fast way bus stops right outside the stadium. These go to and from Crawley, Gatwick & Three Bridges.
2. Lots of home and away fans in Redz Bar (at the stadium) The Half Moon and a few at the Downsman.
3. No fanzine for a while but sometimes we'll know supporter and argumentative sod "Thad" will put one out. There are two podcasts I believe but I'll let them point you in the right direction for those.
4. Two things lower league fans need. A player who can do no wrong and a player who can do no right. Its a wrench when either one leaves. Other than that it's the same as at any level. The manager/owners are geniuses when we win and utterly useless when we lose.

Tricky one Jim, tempted as I am to disagree with being described as an 'argumentative sod', I am not sure how to counter the accusation without being:- - Argumentative - A sod - Both of the above...? But I have your details neatly filed away in my notebook for future reference.
All I can say to cgwi00 is that following Crawley Town FC - as the strapline to much missed fanzine Realmadred proudly states - "It's not big & it's not clever".

I'd have nothing to do with that fanzine if I were you - it was a scurrilous publication! :-)

Get a bloody room, you two.
The Half Moon pub was mentioned in the OP. I think the name has changed to something similar these days, but I can't recall what itr is.
Just to add that if you buy your drinks in Redz bar the profits go to the club. It is always good to meet up with away supporters in the club bar. Can’t wait to see live league football again.

Welcome Colin, Just hoping to pick your brain, I am sure that there are a combination of factors behind your decision.
But I am wondering if you sense that there may be a few more potential fans with a similar outlook... ...and what more could be done to entice them on the return of fans to local live matches...?

Good thinking matey! Without wanting to butt in too much, as a preliminary suggestion, in the past we have offered concessions for PL season ticket holders on international weekends so maybe we could do the same for, say, the first few games of the season for those who can show a PL season ticket for last year. Just a thought, if it is logistically possible.
