Hopefully we wont have another player collapse as I cant imagine why a CR player is wearing an undergarment in this heatwave. So far, I've seen nothing for England to fear from either of these teams that look very average.
Can't believe the beeb analysts are blaming the second goal on a bloke having a shot from the edge of the box! The striker scored from the half way line. Brilliant? Yes,but what was the keeper thinking? Sorry but if a keeper gets beaten from the half way line he deserves a rocket up his jacksy!
I thought the better side lost this one and the Czechs owe a huge debt of gratitude to their keeper - and to Scotland's. Historically, Scotland teams have a knack of losing out due to defensive bloopers and anyone who remembers Saint & Greavesie will remember his merciless jibes about Scottish goalkeepers. Snowflakes would have melted.

Think you are being a bit unfair there Jim, it was hardly the edge of the box & hardly a serious shot either, seeing as there was an opposition midfielder literally in front of 'the bloke'.
But the critical factor is that 'the bloke' is a centre-half... so when his highly speculative venture failed, in an instant he caught EVERYONE in his team out of position, not just the Keeper, but the covering defenders and most notably himself...!
Not denying how well the forward took it but any keeper beaten from that distance must take the blame.
The Scots player thought "I'll have a dig from the edge of the area." It went badly wrong but to lay the blame on him for a goal down the other is definitely pushing it.
I stand by my early assesment that the 3 Lions will be roaring after sending the Jocks up the A1 and out of the Euros. I predict a goal feast on Friday.

Although three points can be sufficient to qualify, I can't see Scotland beating Croatia or us. The best they might get is two draws, and I don't reckon they'll manage that. Their best chance was against the Czechs and although they deserved more, they blew it.
On the rest of the game I think Scotland blew it and I think it was down to team shape and selection.
The 3 central midfielders never got close enough to the forwards. They appeared to be under instruction to drop deep to get the ball but then have the ball booted over their heads. Reminiscent of some Crawley games last season. If 2 of the 3 go back the other has to go forward. Its better if 1 goes back, 1 goes sideways and 1 goes forward but never over egg it.
I've been guilty of thinking we should go with a forward for what he brings to the team other than goals. The running into channels, the flick ons and hold up play but if a forward can't score he shouldn't be there. I actually hope Dykes proves me wrong (after the England game) but to pick him ahead of Adams was an error...actually the same for Morata with Spain.
Go on, shoot me down. Make me change my mind but do it in peace.

I agree. Scotland had enough chances to have got something out of that game.
Unfortunately international football is hard when it comes to the finals of major tournaments and you have to put the ball in the net when you have the chance.

They were useless Scotland. England will thrash them. How the f*** did they qualify?
Interesting take on that goal from Rob Green (ex England, West Ham keeper etc).
He stated that the only reason Marshall would have been that far forward was because he was instructed too by the coach and he would have known that he would be vulnerable to the lob and would have argued against it. When asked why he would stand there knowing this Green's reply was a simple " you do what the coach tells you or you don't play".
Seems there's a good possibility that Clarke is to blame.
