These pre-season days the club are posting on the official website need to be kept behind closed doors. I realise we do not have the mega bucks of a premier league side but they look so Mickey Mouse - a lot of what's being posted is amateurish, looks unprofessional and the facilities look like they are training at your local recreation ground.
This is always a good time. Usually by now we are well into 'guess the player' routine where some bright spark says "isn't that [insert name of some unknown player] at 04.23"?

Horsham’s new stadium doesn’t look like a local recreation ground
The one I was at last night certainly didn't look like a local recreation ground either
But they are playing a lot more friendlies this summer than they have done in previous seasons (especially the one when Cioffi was manager where I think there were only 4) which surely helps build up fitness
That’s what John Yems alluded to that he needs the players to be match fit before the season starts and the more games and minutes they play the better - players much prefer games and the more they play together as teams the better they will play - the game last night was a good run out and they did play some good fast football- the final ball was missing or there defenders did their work - but it’s very early days
I thought the videos of the pre season training was pretty good myself. A step up from Vines leading the team on a run to Gainsborough Road playing fields for sure. My personal opinion about training is that it's great to watch while sitting in a pub.
The facilities do look quite basic and I would be interested to see how they compare to other teams at this level, but it is good to get an insight into the BTS stuff.

The facilities are miles better than when I watched some running drills in the field next to the 3G pitch outside the ground a few years ago...

Do you mean miles to travel? It's still rather Mickey Mouse.

Who was the manager at that time then just wondered?

This was around the 18/19 season so Kewell would have been manager then. To Kewell’s credit he did try and secure some better facilities from what I can recall.
Or would that have been when Cioffi was manager? Seeing that Kewell ran off to Nottingham 2 weeks into that season
i think Kewell was there for a bit until August and then cioffi came in but yeah as soon as the money came knocking Kewell left and no doubt hit his head on the door frame on the way out...
