Every club he has left he claims are in disarray could it be him who causes it. His win ratio when he played for us was nothing to shout about I for one will not miss him I think he thinks hes the big time plonker like his brother. I hope he never plays again for CTFC.
Very confused of what josh wright’s profession is? Or what he wants, is he either a professional footballer that’s what’s to concentrate on getting a regular run in the 1st team, he hasn’t kick a football this summer ( that’s what CTFC ) pays him for .or either concentrating on being a fitness guru with his brother. By all accounts when he was @ Bradford city fc he had the worst attitude & blamed everything on BCFC. Been to many clubs now & still not cemented a regular place even when the going gets tough.
Josh Wright is a professional Z list celebrity and poser.

Clearly josh doesn’t want to be associated with our club . While the team are struggling and digging deep to get results.while Josh is parting hard with his brother in Ibiza . Surely he club owners should fine josh heavily. The boy is a big time Charlie .
I don't think we are paying him as he is finished as a CTFC player.
He’s been paid off. Not that surprising that there has been no official confirmation of this from the club
Does anyone know what sort of settlements usually happen in situations like these? I imagine it's somewhere between zero and whatever basic wage would have been earned until end of contract, but imagine it to be a lump sum for a proportion of what would have been earned.

I would imagine that all players at this level get a basic salary with performance bonuses. I suspect we would at least have to pay the wages for the rest of his contract. I can’t see how Josh would have to accept any less if we’ve paid him off. I imagine he’s done quite well out of this arrangement. I suspect the player has the leverage in this situation. Unless the club could prove gross misconduct, but I don’t think being a terrible player counts as gross misconduct.

Some on here might deem execution appropriate for being a terrible player. Yes, I see the player has power in such a situation as both parties have signed a legal contract. I'm also wondering if the club can have a say in whether he works elsewhere up till the time when the contract would have expired. Maybe a lower sum is accepted for the ex alleged player in exchange for the right to work elsewhere. Clubs generally seem quite secretive about such matters.

I don’t see how we could make him not play for another club this season if we’ve paid him off, but there may be a clause in the contract to that effect as I seem to remember Dean Cox couldn’t join us for 6 months or so after he left Orient as he’d been paid off by them. Might have been something to do with FA rules, not sure.

From memory, so not necessarily reliable, that was more to do with when the transfer window ended rather than the agreement between club and player.
Not turning up for training at the start of the season to spend time producing his brothers fitness video could be reasons to reduce any pay off…. Allegedly.
If he has gone good riddance.totally over rated it was a shambles of a signing. Crawley fc was his last chance saloon . Can’t imagine anyother club taking him ( non league maybe )
