Came to CTFC on the back of his brother signing ( now that was a shameful signing) josh Wright’s attitude & professionalism has been very toxic by all accounts, when he officially leaves he will probably make a statement saying it was all CTFC fault, ( he has previous)

A mate of mine who's a Leyton Orient fan said he saw him at their recent friendly vs Tottenham. To me that clearly shows a real lack of professionalism when we had a match that same day too.
Anyway, hopefully the club have sorted the thing out with his contract now and we can now just focus on the players that are actually there

Josh Wright is no longer a Crawley player - I believe his original contract was for six month, then after so many games the 2 years extension would be automatically extended - he never got to the that number of games so the extension was not triggered - so he is no longer a Crawley player

I see, if that is the case why didn't the club include him on the list of released players when that came out back in May?

While I have no evidence to disprove Alain, I do find it very odd if that was the case then why didn’t the club advise publicly he was released. All the other released players were made public. We may never get any clarity on this situation sadly.

I'm not in the know. I dont know anybody within the hierarchy of the club but, when Josh joined, the club put out the following statement...
"Crawley Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signature of Josh Wright on a two-and-a-half year deal following his recent release from Leyton Orient, earlier in the week."
The quote is still available to view on the official website.
Now, I have spoken to Alain many a time over the years and we've had many a disagreement over players but he is not a liar or bullshitter in any shape or form so I am led to the conclusion that someone is lying to him or the club was "economical with the truth" to us when Josh Wright signed.
He is not included in the 1st team squad on the CTFC website so I assume he has left.
That is very interesting Allanp, I checked on Sunday and he was still mentioned in the squad. After reading your post I checked again and see that he has been removed, also player photos have been updated. We await an announcement.

I remember at the time that came out I was surprised Doherty was put on the released list as I was pretty sure he still had another year left on his contract at the time (I was probably wrong though).
But the fact he's now been removed from the updated squad page on the website does suggest he isn't under contract at the club anymore, which if that is true I think it could have been communicated a lot better
He might of had a two and a half year contract but we don't know what the conditions were for him to be here for the full term. I for one am glad he's gone as he was not as good as he thought he was, good luck to any team that signs him.
I can’t imagine any club taking him CTFC was his last chance.been to a lot of clubs in his football career and never seen out-his contract.any chairman will be mad to take josh. Very over rated.

Maybe he’d be better suited to playing in Z list celebrity charity matches with Mark Wright. Probably more his level.
