Obviously he wants to play more regularly and with the rumours going around about signing this guy from Man United I'm not surprised he's left. He was out of contract at the end of the season anyway and would have been surprised if the club renewed it in the summer.
I hope for God's sake we invest the money in a midfielder by Monday though as we need a lot more energy in there
Don’t think the move to Crawley worked it for either party. Ashford tried his best when he played, but nothing seemed to come off for him. Maybe if he had more of a run in the team he could’ve showed more. One of those things I guess.
Adebowale is listed on the club website but as I said a week or so ago I don't think Yems is a fan of him at all, especially when he was playing Francomb in that position ahead of him for a couple of games. Would be surprised if he isn't on his way out soon. Don't think he featured much for Havant and Waterlooville either

Tbh the few times I’ve seen him, he’s miles off of L2. But at this point, need a body
We have a few players who Yems has had a good look at who haven’t quite made the League 2 grade and while it’s sad for the individuals, it’s a natural part of football. Particularly for a club that has low crowds for the division average, gave back half its season ticket cash 6 months ago and has a tight budget in consequence. Any new players coming in will likely have to balanced by outgoings. Good luck to all those moving on from the club, maybe some of them will prove Yems wrong, who knows

cant help but agree - your assessment of us spot on and for what we have we are a great success - staying in league 2 year on year is an achievement even if we don't always appreciate it and watching some of the games can be tedious at times. Our churn of player will throw up some peaches but also some plums and if we could hold onto the good ones we might be in with a shout of improving overall but financially we don't seem able to survive without the sales income. Personally I think we should try to take a risk when we get our next star and keep them to help towards a playoff push but I don't realistically expect that to happen and acept that is not my call and hope the board are looking at the clubs best interests when making that type of decison.

I've just had a look at the table comparison between this campaign and last and have noticed that we have exactly the same amount of points after 26 games (which is what we've played so far) as we did after 26 last season. Don't know if that could actually be considered an improvement in a way because we had Max Watters for a lot of those games last season who did win us quite a few points with his exploits.
Still a very long way to go in the season and apart from top spot, which I think is done and dusted already, it is looking pretty tight for the promotion/play-off places and I'd say any team down to Rochdale in 17th could still get in them if they put together a great run of results. For example Mansfield were right down near the bottom in mid-November, now they are only 3 points off the automatics with a couple of games in hand. Obviously I might start to dream a little if we win our next 5 games say but 11th place with 62 points would be a success in my eyes considering how worried I was back in November and the terrible injury record we have had.
Ashford got off to a good start up in Scotland which is good for him, he's the type of player that needs to be in the first XI regularly if he's to make an impact and unfortunately with Appiah, Nichols and Nadesan being higher up in the pecking order that was unlikely to happen here. Probably best for him in the long term too because if he didn't leave last month I reckon there was a strong likelihood he would have been trying to find a new club in the summer anyway
