Glenn’s all round game is absolute quality can’t believe some of the comments on here which don’t match others I know of. We have been quite a long ball side without a recognisable target man so you are always up against it trying to pick a long pass. Being able to play as a sweeper during the Kewell seasons I don’t see many keepers at lower leagues that could have done that and never got caught out once. 50 yard passes to the full back nearly always on a plate. Seems to get better with age and I just appreciate what he does season after season which is what 3 player of the seasons out of 6 and the other ones he was probably runner up or people just wanted a change stop it being boring! Anyway Betsy will have his own view but would be amazed if any that come in were not back ups or longer term.
Look what happened with our new keeper on Saturday V QPR , for the second goal
I'm sure Glen can do better than that !
Bit harsh. It was one mistake, yes it cost us a goal, but mistakes from the goalie usually do. He more than made up for it after that, made a couple of good saves. And he had the QPR baying mob right behind him taking the piss. Until our awesome comeback silenced them
I agree - it was pretty much his first touch in the game and he tried to be cleaver, which went badly wrong. With the heckling from the QPR fans afterwards, I feared he’d lose his confidence, but to his credit, he improved as the game wore on, which was great to see. Hopefully he’s learnt his lesson - friendlies are the time to make those mistakes.
