Play off’s minimum given their spending this year. We got top half with the core squad which we have kept and now added to with a lot of quality players.
L2 champions undefeated. Winners of every cup competition. I want it all nothing less. But realise I may have to accept less. Of course number 1 is L2 survival and no relegation dogfight comes next. Alongside I want 100% commitment. Therefater the rest will take care of itself. Our home record wasnt always great last season so if we improve that will be great.
I'd be content with 10th-12th place by January transfer window and then reassess from there - if Betsy got more backing at that point, we would be looking top 7 by the end. But Rome wasn't built in a day etc and the watchword must generally be patience
Champions with over 100 points and over 100 goals scored. Anything less for me is not good enough...
But seriously, I'd say a top 10 with a good cup run would count as a solid campaign in my eyes, there's a lot of teams in this division I think will really fancy themselves to have a good go at promotion. I also hope people are patient with Betsy and don't jump on his back if August doesn't go the best
If it starts badly and we struggle how patient will the new owners be because i think they expect success from the word go its the American make up. I hope all goes well and we have a successful season.
More entertaining football than we have had in the past and if it gets us promotion/play offs then all the better.I feel we have the club and football management's to sustain it.

I have to say as I watch a fair bit of Brighton too that I am not keen on this tippy tappy play it around the back football and I'm looking for progression. Brighton stats often show as an example high percentage of possession, but if the opposition has the possession further up field and score from that - that's what counts. I was encouraged that after his balls Saturday our keeper played a long ball forward that led to us scoring. I woud be happy of KB mixes it up and doesn't just insist on always playing it out from the back as that's too predictable to play against and the reason Burnley thrashed Brighton at home they did their homework down to a tee. We are in a great position as a club though and I am hopeful of good things for CTFC this season but one thing I will not tolerate is less than 100% effort. I know JY went on about this a lot and for the players still with us in that era I hope that continues into this forthcoming season and beyond. We cant win everything even though I want us to but if we give it our all then its 'easier' to 'accept' defeat.
Feel it's a bit too early to say as I expect we will make a few more signing in the next few weeks so we will have a better idea of how the squad is shaping up for the season then.
We’ve gone from having the smallest budget and being consistently mid table. Now we have one of the highest budgets and some would be happy with mid table 😂 Got to be play offs at a minimum, should be autos
Tippy-tappy football is all very well, but you need a good destroyer in there to mop up when it goes wrong, as it inevitably will sometimes at L2 level.
