Gutted - really nice bloke. Hope he gets another opportunity, I’m sure he will somewhere. We all need to get 100% behind the next guy after Lewis because he’ll have a very tough job now
Yes I agree. He was a decent guy but the move from Arsenal U21 to League 2 wasn't right for him and he found that playing Barcelona football with Billericay players didn't work.
I honestly don't know who comes next. However good luck to him, they will inherit the JY squad who signed new deals before he got the chop and then KBs signings before he went.
The 11th manager since Evans left in 2012, 13 if you count the caretakers.

So sorry to see him go but not surprised given the growing criticism. I hope we haven't done a Chelsea and let go a real star who in future costs a fortune when they come good. I remain unconvinced it was time to do this however, I have to accept the boards decision and give my support to the new manager whoever that may be.

“Unconvinced it was time to do this?”
What planet are you from, Westander?
At least the next incumbent will have a chance to turn this season round🙏
6 points from the opening 12 games is simply not good enough and with a greater budget than Yems had who guided us to a solid mid table finish, so it's no surprise he's been sacked, but I do feel a little sorry for Kev as he seemed a positive and enthusiastic guy, but I think he was not the right manager for a team at this level.
It seemed to take him 5-6 games to realize that his plan of playing total football building up from the back was not going to work and by that point we had an over-inflated squad with a dozen or so young players with little league experience who Betsy had got in to play a certain way and when he realized it wasn't working he must have spent the majority of the seasons budget already on players who weren't up to it and he'd alienated most of the players that were already here and he didn't have a plan B so the team had no real structured way of playing.
A real shame it never worked out and good luck Kev on your next venture, but we need to get someone in now with experience at this level. The aim now is just to stay up and finish as far away from the relegation zone as we can. A clear out of Betsy's duffers will be needed in the summer and give the next manager a chance to build a decent team more suited to this level.
Yes it is a tough gig and the players who have underperformed on the pitch have a big part to play in manager sackings and it sould not go unnoticed and they shouldn't get away scott free either. The Wimbledon game for me was a real low point with a really drab performance, the manager is the one who pics the team, does the training, the subs and conjures up the tactics, but the players have to take responsibility as well when they step out onto the pitch.
Do we know he was sacked? Parted ways says the OS.
Tough gig football management. Three months without delivering and off you go...you get more of a chance in sales
Its a 'polite' way of saying sacked.
Don't they often say 'mutual agreement' or some other disingenuous sounding phrase so I imagine Kev was probably sacked, but it's unlikely we'll ever know for sure.
From the outside this would seem to have been a long time in coming but I suspect that it might not be a easy task to recruit a new high calibre manager. For all the attraction that one of the largest budgets in the division might bring there are some fairly big questions that prospective candidates will have in terms of how much of that budget is left and how easy will it be to make changes in January considering how the squad has been bloated by so many summer arrivals.
Of course it mustn't be forgotten that KB said yes to allowing fans to decide what part of the team would be strengthened by a new star player, he said yes when asked if fans could be involved in the matchday squad in the PJT and he said yes to putting YouTubers on the bench in the FA Cup. Will Wagmi want the new manager to answer yes or no to those types of requests in the future? The answer to that question will have a huge impact on the future of CTFC and will be a major influence on who wants to be the next manager.

None of those things made the smallest scrap of difference to our results this season.
You got what you wanted this season, which is having the ownership you want, so I don’t know why you have to come sticking your oar in here sowing myths on a difficult day for Crawley fans.
The story is actually much simpler, an opportunity was given to a promising, inexperienced young manager who had good credentials on paper but it didn’t work out. It has worked out better for a similar type of guy at Salford. That’s football, it happens. Nothing to do with the trivia you mention
I saw the above thread on the 3rd October 2022 (it was published widely for everyone to see on the 2nd October), why did it take 1 week to actually sack him, everyone knew he was going regardless of the result against Grimsby. Another WAGMI CLANGER allowing him to manage the game v Grimsby. 3 more points down the toilet due to WAGMI!

Don't these lesser known sites have a scattergun approach and just keep posting lots of rumors so eventually they will be right.
