I think this covers it, I’ve looked at the players listed in the squad on Wikipedia. Sandford, Johnson, Brown, Omole, Kastrati should all leave. Ransom, Khaleel, Gladwin not fussed either way. Nick T, Gordon Jack Roles, would be good if they stayed, but no big deal if they leave. Forster, Mukena, Adeyemo all were in and out of the team, but showed enough promise to stay. The rest all contributed massively to our promotion and should be offered new or improved contracts as appropriate. The outlier being Jeremy Kelly who hasn’t been here a long time, but has been superb, so should be offered a new contract.

Spoke to Gladwin at the celebration thing tonight and he's calling it a day. I asked when he'd be back playing and he said "no I'm retiring". Wonder if SL will keep him on as a coach?
Too early to say really. Depends on the playing budget next season and whether we get any irresistible offers (Orsi must have attracted attention).
I imagine we will need to strengthen in pretty much every area.
bring Telford back. On a serious note I would strengthen the entire defence, beyond that Im less concerned. Oh and for the record, no need to change the GK. Has been outstanding numerous times this past season.
I'm thankful every day that we got rid of Dominic Telford. Mediocre at best, one of the best moves we made, flopped again at Barrow.
Re Addai, my point is in L1 you need serious competition in every position. You can get away with having a stiff on the bench in L2 and lower but next season is a different ball game.
He has been here a season and a half. How many games has he played? When he is left out, are there shouts for him to be included?
Regarding Ransom.
I happen to believe that Ransom is one off the best defenders at the club. However, he has been fit for quite a while and not made the subs bench. I think it's clear that Lindsey either prefers others or they've had a falling out. Either way Lindsey has not been and doesn't look like playing him so why keep him?
Jim Baker
Wasn’t he injured for a while? Been on the bench in recent weeks.
So many fantastic players that I’d be horrified if they left or we couldn’t hold on to them.
What keeps me grounded is the fact that I have absolute confidence that SL would have been planning for next season, player wise, even throughout the season just gone.
The same manager who plucked a bunch of unknown players from national league and made them in to players who won promotion, is highly likely to have most bases covered at this point I would have thought, even if he doesn’t manage to get everyone to stay that he would like.
That’s what I’m holding on to!
I liked what Darcy said in an interview after the match when he was asked about life in League 1 and he said “the gaffer will have a plan to deal with that”.
Exactly mate.
Yes to your opening line. We’ve got a great squad with a lot of depth, start breaking it up and it could all go wrong. Let 12 go and its wholesale changes. Yes we will need to make improvements for L1, but let’s move on the players who never feature (Davis, Brown, Kastrati) and then make a call on the likes of Johnson, Omole, Khaleel and Roles, if we can get better players in. We effectively play with 4 centre halves in the starting 11 if you include Williams, so we need at least 3 as cover, and I’ve enjoyed that depth. Elsewhere, we’ve got some really versatile players who also give us that depth, so let’s think on before advocate moving a lot of players out.

That is sad news, I'd hoped he would be able to recover from his injury troubles as he was a fantastic player to watch and had a lot of ability. I don't think people appreciated how good he could be.
From what I’ve seen of L1 (which I have to admit isn’t a huge amount), players are just a bit faster and stronger. I feel we need someone to bulk up the defence, particularly speed-wise.
Yes. Watching Bolton the other day they had two or three proper big b@stards and players at the next level up tend to be just that split second sharper, and faster to those loose balls.

Not surprised with his knee problem. Would not be surprised if he stayed as part of back room staff.

Forster, Khaleel, Adeyemo and Mukena, all on two year contracts so will be here next year. Agree with all the leavers.
Looks like Gladwin retiring. Wingers are always getting injuries, so need back up and feel Nick T and Gordon worth offering new contract, and Ransom as will need stronger defenders at League 1 as another area where get a lot of injuries. Wasn't sure about Roles, but has played well at times welcome on so possibly worth giving contract as squad player.

Omole and Johnson weren't at the celebration last night, nor Jayden Davis, so definitely looks like they've departed. Shame about Omole, looked good for us but got that bad injury, and hasn't had a look in under SL. Still think he could do a job for us, but he's below Ransom and Mukena in the pecking order, and I imagine SL has his eye on some new defenders. Hopefully we keep Maguire, I like him. He's improved, and seems very happy here. I asked him if he was staying and he said "I don't know yet but I want to".

A STIFF on the bench? Really? Ooh er Missus.....

You could always rub some Wintergreen on it, John! :-)

I’m not sure I’ve seen Omole or Johnson around for a little while now. Were they at the awards night? Same applies with the loanee from Huddersfield. Agree, it was a shame about Omole - he did look good but sadly a lot of players struggle to come back from cruciate ligament injuries.
