Our home game against Stockport is now on a Monday evening! From the club:
Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that the club's scheduled home fixture against Stockport County on Saturday, the 16th of March, has now been moved to Monday, the 18th of March, at 19:45
This is due to Stockport County's match against Salford City being selected for live TV coverage, which has resulted in that fixture date being moved to Thursday, the 14th of March.
When I first saw the subject , I thought perhaps it had been moved as it would be live on Sky🙄 Shame it has been moved as the attendance will not be as good as it would have been on the Saturday
Yes pluses and minuses. Could be smaller crowd, particularly away fans, but may mean other people like Jb can go. Means we have 2 evening kick-offs at home in row (Notts Co previous Tuesday). Also more rest before this game and less before Tranmere away.
Also means I can go to non-league game on Saturday as well!
Leave the effing fixtures where they are you Sky twats.
Why the Monday? Why not Sunday? Other teams can play Thursday night, Sunday afternoon, what's so effing special about the Stockport twunts that they can't, instead of wasting my money.
Deliberately book concerts so they won't clash with games and Sky come along and f#ck it all up. They should be forced to pay anyone with tickets compensation.
I can understand these changes can be annoying. More L2 games will be live next year, so I think we may have to get used to more evening games and the odd 12.30 or 5.30 kick-off. I believe they have agreed to give more notice next year though, particularly the first half of the season.

Yes, I wonder if CTFC get any compensation for the change
I think broadcasters should have to pay compensation to any fans that have pre-booked transport hotels etc as part of their contract. Will stop them messing fans around. Also agree CTFC should get some compensation for possible lower crowd.

And so they should! Let’s face it, the fixtures are known well before each season starts. I get that they won’t know at the start of the season which games nearer the end may become more attractive and some fixtures will move anyway due to cup matches/replays, but they should be required to give at least 2 months notice - fans book other things, travel etc and lose money, which broadcasters seem to have no interest in.
The reason it’s on the Monday is because Brighton Ladies are playing Man City on the Sunday
That explains it. Brighton website now confirms at Broadfield. Looks like it has been moved from Falmer as live on BBC 2. So we have to play day after ladies. Hopefully pitch can cope with two games in two days.
