After our goal our passing game orchestrated by Liam Kelly came into its own I loved watching the Womblies trying to get the ball of us also in Orsi's post match interview instead of talking about his goal tally he said there was still lots more aspects of his game he needed to improve can't wait to see the finished article.
The tactics debate is a good one and the home game against Wimbledon was an example of it not working, repeatedly caught on the ball and driving me mad! Waited too long before changing to more direct approach. I didn’t go away to this game on Tuesday but sounds like it worked and as some have said Wimbledon were chasing shadows second half.
Mostly it comes down to how the players execute on the day and the style is quite all or nothing in that regard. Great when it works, painful when it doesn’t!
I like it and I 100% back Scott after how well he has done on the pitch considering what he walked into. And I think it’s that kind of identity that will help the club and recruitment. But maybe be nice to recognise faster and go direct on a bad day!
We are playing at times the best football I have seen from a Crawley side. SL has a style of play which he will not change. What he wants is for the team to do it better. I agree with his approach. We have the strongest bench I have seen at Crawley. When we bring a player on he immediately knows where he fits in. Yes we can make improvements. I would like lolos to look before he shoots or passes. Switch wingers during play.. we did last night with Forster suddenly turning up on the other side. We have become a team rather than a collection of individual players. Carry on like this and we can only improve.clubs that constantly change style and managers only go in one direction.
Agree with most of that. Really harsh to single out Lolos. He's one of the few players who actually shoots when he has a chance to, too many of them either look for an unnecessary pass, or take too many touches and waste the chance.
We look a far better side under SL than we have for ages. I wish he would stop with the possession for the sake of it approach. We could be doing so much better if he encouraged the players to attack more (I mean in every game, not just against AFC) and dispense with the sideways and backwards passing. It looks shit, it doesn't achieve anything, and it pisses off the fans. Sometimes we do it even when we are losing, there's 10 minutes to go and we should be chasing the game. We play keep-the-ball, usually in our own half, rather than getting it upfield and trying to score. God knows why.
So we'll be mid-table at worst this season. That is progress, of a sort. We could challenge for promotion next season if SL is backed by our owners in the transfer window this summer. A big if. But I'm ever hopeful.
Agree on Lolos. He is the one of the only players who always is willing to try and get in a position to shoot, or tries to beat a player, rather than pass. He also passes if colleague in a better position. He is an exciting player, and my MOM on Tuesday. Scott did not take him off until injury time, so obviously pleased with his performance.
With lolos we see an exciting player who likes to drive forward and take players on. My point is that he could be a much better player if he would only look First before passing or shooting. He will improve as I am sure he is receiving good coaching. His best is still to come.

The aspect that pleased me most from this game was actually our ability to stay in the game when under pressure, something we have lacked the ability to do earlier in the season.
Predominantly in the first half Wimbledon were direct pumping balls forwards and in behind our back line and had what seemed like a lot of corners and long throws but we stood up manfully to the task and went in with a clean sheet at the break.
Even then in the second half although we were more dominant on the ball, after we scored they would obviously have to put us under more pressure to get an equaliser and again we stood up to that pressure to secure back to back clean sheets, something unheard of previously.
If you think with Crewe, Walsall, FGR and Wimbledon that’s only two goals conceded in 4 games so fingers crossed we can maintain this level of resilience and defending for the run in as we have some tough games ahead starting with the trip to Accrington Stanley which won’t be easy up there
You do talk a load of fetlocks! Obviously having a bit of a 'mare. Danilo Reins supreme, and I'd bridle at any suggestion to the contrary! Best news though, he signed for us and not the Saddlers?
