I agree with the points total, just a couple of differences on results (draw with Newport not Wrexham, and beat Sutton and draw with Barrow). I think Walsall may be our biggest challengers, with 3 of their last four at home too. Their last game is away at Wimbledon which could be significant if both still in with a chance then.

I hadn’t dared to look at play off dates until now but if the final is on 19th May, it is unlikely that I will be able to go to that, should we get through. So, my prediction for the remaining 8 games is 8 wins and 24 points - giving us a total of 83, which coincidentally was what Northampton got to finish 3rd last season! Job done! :-)
Currently, these include 3 games against teams in the bottom 4 as well as 3 games against teams in the top 6. People must not think that the games against Colchester, Sutton & Grimsby will be a walk in the park, as all 3 are fighting for their Football League status.
I think we will have a slightly clearer idea of our destiny at around 9:30pm on Tues 9th April after 3 successive away games in 8 days.
Strap yourselves in Reds fans, it could be a rollercoaster ride for us all in the next few weeks!

I often think teams struggling in/around the drop zone mange to pull results out of the bag and these can be as tough as promotion chasing teams late on in the season. I watched Col U at Mansfield and they matched them for long periods of the game and the point they took was deserved. I'm hopeful Sutton are down by the time we play them as I think I predicted a 10-0 riot on another thread!
Given the anybody can beat anybody vibe of this league it is so hard to predict results but same is by definition true for everybody else. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we won one of those 3 tough away games and lose or draw a couple of home games. Hopefully we will do enough to squeeze in but lets hope we don't suffer any major injuries as squad a bit light in a few places
Did think it was likely that we wouldn't win the obvious games as results in this league are topsy turvy by nature. just hope we can manage to get something from the next 3 games which I think is also highly likely. Doncaster looked like they had the extra man at times and although I expected something like this I am hugely disappointed that we blew a real opportunity to cement 7th and must now rely on our games in hand
As Scott said this was a clear opportunity to give us an advantage, and it looks like the players could not cope with the pressure. Would have made big difference considering other results. Feel we will need to get 3 or 4 points from next 3 games, or win last four now.

SL needs to turn NOW to the players who can cope with Pressure. He knows the 2 who saved this club last season in April 2023 when Pressure was at a Maximum! - Ransom & Gladwin. There's 2 who should be straight on the Teamsheet for the Final Push! BOTH PROVEN PRESSURE PLAYERS!

Both injured. Ransom might be fit for the bench at Newtport. Gladwin won't.

Have resisted commenting on this thread although it’s a good one, as I’ve bottled giving my opinion because it’s so bloody 50/50 in my eyes.
I can’t get to any of the next 3 games, but my plan is to attend the last 4 ,(God willing), Colchester, Barrow, Sutton and Grimsby.
Hopefully it’s to support us still going for gold, but if not, the club and coaching staff deserve our support ,appreciation and thanks for what has been an unbelievably good season, regardless of whether we reach the Holy Grail or not.
Early in this thread I said 7th was possible but rated it an outside chance. Outside has turned into slightly better than 50-50 when considering several games we have coming up.
